That all depends on the size of your turtle. As a general rule, estimate 10 gallons of tank space for every inch of your turtle’s length. But also take into consideration, how large your turtle will grow. It may make more sense to purchase a larger tank from the start, so you don’t have to upgrade as your turtle grows.

Petco has a broad selection of turtle tanks designed to fit all your pet’s needs. Be sure to learn what your particular species prefers in a living space, then explore your options online or consult with an in-store Petco partner to find out more.
That depends on many different factors, including your turtle’s species, what kind of fish and whether your aquarium is really an ideal habitat for your pet. Keep in mind that even water-loving aquatic turtles still require access to dry land or basking stations. Before combining any species, it’s always a good idea to consult with a Petco partner or your veterinarian to make the best decision for all your pets.
Yes, a terrarium can make an ideal turtle habitat, depending on what species you have. Aquatic turtles need plenty of water and room to swim, so a waterproof tank and filter are required. But semi-terrestrial turtles only need a shallow pool of water to soak in, so a terrarium would work well for more land-based turtle species.

Hello I need to know my pet is turtle or totrise ... I am confused weather to keep him on land or in aquarium
My turtle is with fishes in a tank but with no land space is it ok? but i take him out of the aquarium everyday..
I need to know what, in very specific terms, are the bare minimum requirements for housing a little red eared slider turtle we just won at a carnival who's about 3 inches long at most. We can't afford much, but my daughter & I are both attached already, I'm concerned and confused by what I'm reading online. I know we'll be needing a larger setup soon, but I'd like to start out with the smallest for now, & need specific light types, filters, & heaters necessary. (Live in CA)
What would be required for a painted turtle tank? Is a 29 gallon tank large enough? Is a 40 gallon tank large enough. What is the minimum tank size for a painted turtle? Thanks
my turtle's tank smells like chlorine please help
Are mineral deposits harmful to a turtle
Do Petco vets take care of red ear slider turtles
Hello my name is Cheyenne! I have owned my Yellow Bellied slider since it was a hatchling, so a little over six years. It is 8 1/2-9 inches long. So he/she is a pretty big! So I have a couples of questions that I hope you can help answer... 1. It needs a bigger tank, it is in I think a 20-30 gl right now which is to small. I have been looking for a normal glass one but can’t find any that are in my price range and can’t seem to find any used for the size I am looking for. I have been looking in
I have a red ear slider turtle that was given to my children as a gift. She looks to be an adult, but I cannot afford to get her the things need for her care such as the basking stand and filter for another 2 weeks. I have her in my bathroom tub, I also have a 40 gallon tank, but cleaning the water is becoming a problem with my asthma. I put her in direct sunlight during the day for about 3 hours to bask, but then she goes back in the tub. Her shell looks ashy, and I dont want her to die. Help!
I have had this turtle for 3.5 years. He doesn't seem to be growing. He is in a 10 gallon tank. Is this to small and does his underneath side look healty?
Hi, I have a male adult Mississippi Map, whose carapace is around 5 inches. We have a 70-gallon tank at home, but we are going on a vacation for three weeks and will leave him in a local pet shop for boarding. The shop only allows a 20-gallon tank. Would it be okay for my turtle to be in a 20-gallon tank for a few weeks?
I have been trying to find articles about "slider turtles", bc that is what a doc said my turtle's type was, but all I can find is "red eared slider turtles", is the care the same for both? If not, can you give me care for them? Also, is it a must to have a filter? (I have a 10 gallon tank)
