How to make my gerbil exercise? I got two, one like to run but other don't like. And is exercise ball recommended? How often to change the house setup?
If my hamster runs around in a 7 inch ball is a 6.5 inch wheel to small for her? She fits just right in her ball since she is a bigger hamster (teddy bear) so I worry that if I order a smaller wheel she won't fit
So I recently posted a pic of my hamsters new set up. People said that CritterTrail is too small for her. She has two cages and then tubes connecting them. She runs in her ball for 4 hrs a day with a break each hour for water and food. Should I make her a bin cage or keep the CritterTrails cage?
My mouse likes to run, constantly. I think he has hurt his back legs. I took the wheel out, and I checked how he walks. His back side limps, and his joints are red and bent forward. However, he still walks around. I'm worried.
Trying to find a small pet that can roam around a room safely probably not a ferret because I have a hamster in the same room could a guinea pig or rabbit be Free roamed in the room or is there any other pets that could thank you
I bought a critter cage for my rat. It has powder coated wire bars on the floor of the cage with a litter tray under it. I've read conflicting reports on whether the wire bars on the floor could hurt the rat's feet? What is the medical opinion?
Hi, Someone told me that mesh cages and wheels can cause bumblefoot. Is this true? Thanks, Mouse owner
Hi, I have two hamsters, male. They are both new and they fight a lot so I decided to separate them. One on them has a wheel in the cage and the other does not. I have read that hamsters need a wheel at night because they are nocturnal animals. Is it okay if I let my hamster run in the ball in the evening for a few hours instead of getting a new cage?.
So before I got an exercise ball for my hedgie Noel, I asked a vet on here. I’ve had it for months but I’ve probably only put her in it like 5 times. Yesterday I posted a picture of her in it on a pet social media (zoopix) and someone told me that small pets shouldn’t be in it for 3 reasons— 1. Because their feet can slip through 2. Because of poor ventilation. 3. Because it scares them. Is that true? I mean I know that there are risks but should I not be putting her in it?
What kind of habitat should my gerbils live in a cage or tank this is my first time having gerbils?
Hi I have a dwarf hamster and he is running on his weel and flung off and he has a small amount of blood next to his ear would like some advice
I have a Winter White Dwarf Hamster. She is chewing on her cage bars and I have read that she could be bored, stressed, trying to escape, or just trying to keep her teeth short. But she has a wheel, a toliet paper roll, a K-bob chew toy, and more wooden chew toys in her cage. She also has tubes that are connected to her cage. How do I know why she is doing this? I need to know if this can kill her because I read that it can.
