All you do is take out the old tray, cover it with the provided lid and throw it away. When you first get your ScoopFree self-cleaning litter box, you may have to monitor your cat and the waste level in the litter box to effectively gauge how often you will need to replace the tray.

Using regular cat litter in your ScoopFree Litter Box is not necessary or recommended. I adopted 2 kittens at 3 months who are now 10 months old. Brother & sister. Their main area is a room with their beds, food, water, and 2 litter boxes--one is Scoopfree with automatic cleaning, and the other a regular litter box, from which I scoop feces every day. Someone has decided to take a piece or 2 of poo out and bat them around the room, when I'm not there. What can I do to prevent that?

Hi, I find myself having to vaccum the entire appartment twice a day because of my cat's litter spreading everywhere as soon as she does her business and exits the litter box. About a month ago I bought a regular litter box and regular litter and she used that but we didn't like having to scoop it every day so we went bac to the self-cleaning litter box. The box is kept in the master bathroom and the cat has started soiling in the bedroom at the entrance to the bathroom. Why won't she use the self-cleaning box now?
