My cat fritz is kind of a furry beast we didn't realise he had two abscesses on each side of his face they burst yesterday and started draining but this morning his cheeks are huge. His skin on head and neck are bright red and raised and it looks like he's self mutilating because of it. He never showed any signs or symptoms. Now he is breathing with a kind of raspy phlegmy sort of sound eating is normal so is drinking didn't sleep well last night. He is my albino baby but financially no money

I have two parakeets, Fritz and Gizmo. I have had them since March 19, 2017. While I had them, I was unable to train/tame them. I have been wanting to since it would be nice to have birds that can interact with me and excercise rather than stay in a cage. My brother, when he lived with me, occasionally would stick his hand in the cage and scare them. This has led them to be very untrusting. Am I still able to train them? What steps do I need to take to help them trust me?

Can a pregnant dog be wormed? She does have tapeworm but I'm scared to worm her I dont want to harm the puppies and my vet said to you Pyrantel Pamoate but it dont treat tapeworm. Also how soon after a dog Whelps can you worm her ?

I just got my dog back from the groomers today and noticed a really dark spot on his scrotum. He has no other spots on his body and have never seen this spot before now, although his hair is long so it may have been there for up to 2 months since his last grooming appointment without me seeing it. Any advice would be appreciated!

My dog has been suffering from vomitting and diarrhea for 3 days. On the first day he didn't eat at all and was wimpering when his stomach was touched but for the past two days he has been eating more often and seems more lively. But the diarrhea hasn't cleared up. I'm not sure what the could be or if it could be more serious than it seems.

So Quinn smells really bad. I've given her several baths and cleaned her up good but there's no change. People living with me are getting very upset about it and the house stinking so bad. I heard to use baking soda and rub it in her fur. Could I do that?

My cat has had 2 litters back to back as she escaped before I could get her spayed. I kept 1 from each litter and she is still feeding them (the eldest kitten is 7 months) Her belly has now started to swell again as if she is pregnant but I am sure she has not escaped again. Dog treated by vet for ehrlichia. Low RBC, WBC, platelets. Inflamed organs in multiple organ test. Taking doxycycline, prednisone, clindamycin, iron, himpyrin & supplements. Sometimes panting; enlarged heart, lungs & spleen in xray. White patches & a mass in lungs, mass not indicated as cancer by vet. Bruises esp in legs maybe due to IV. Longer clotting time. It's been two weeks & values are still bad although RBC & WBC increased a little (still below normal) his platelets remained zero. :(

Hi I am considering having trixies prednisolone compunded into a flavored treat b/c she is hard to pill. Do you feel a compounded treat would be as effective as the actual pill for this medicine? I ask b/c my other cat at one time was on a compounded amlodipine treat and it was not lowering his blood pressure enough and I had to switch to actual amlodipine pills. Might it be the same for pred? pred is just one part of her small cell lymphoma treatment so I’m trying to make right Decision. Thx
