Bought a new tank, gravel, accessories, and Fritz intant aquarium water. Rinsed everything with tap water. Added everything to the tank, added the instant aquarium water, let the filter run for a few minutes and then placed the fish in the tank. Immediately he stood vertical on his tail and didn't move. Then he swam into his hideout. Today he is on his side. lifeless.

Excellent quality water for a freshwater tank. We bought several of these 2.5 gallon jugs of treated aquarium water after having bad luck with keeping fish in our aquarium. After filling our tank with this water our fish are healthy, noticeably happier, and not stressed out.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My local tap water went bad and killed all my neocaridina shrimp. Received a "boil water notice" after the fact. No more chances. I started buying 5 gallons of Fritz Fresh Aquarium Water every 2 weeks. Saves on chemicals I no longer have to add and I can pour it straight into my tank.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Product was as promised and my fish are happy with the fresh water change. Packaging was the best ever, as it made removal from the boxes easier as each container was enclosed in a large plastic bag that kept leakage for one jug to the bag and saved the shipment. Will defintely order again.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this water suitable for Betta Fish and other species of freshwater fish? I want to get a 5 gallon tank and put a Betta Fish in along with a couple of snails and Cardinal Tetras.

Can I use this to do a water change due to GH levels being to high? Do I still need to add any water conditioners?

    1. I use the water as it is; I have never added chemicals. I have been using this product for a long time. I am on an auto-ship subscription to help keep up with both routine maintenance & shortage when in high demand and unavailable seasonally.

I am starting a new 8 gallon aquarium. How long after using this water in my tank can I add fish? Ty

    1. typically I wait 24 hours before I add my betta to water.

Anyone use setting up a new tank? Did you still have to cycle you tank? Did you have plants in when water was added?

    1. You still have to cycle the tank in order to grow beneficial bacteria. Once u add fish their poop and food produces ammonia and u need the bacteria to combat that. Look up nitrogen cycle.

Good for a starter tank to breed shrimp?

I currently use Fritz Betta gish pre-c conditioned water for my Betta. Can I use this Fritz Aquarium pre-conditioned water for my betta? Would this water be safe for a Betta fish?

      1. Yes, you can use this for Betta. It's Chlorine, Chloramine, and heavy metals free. These are the primary chemicals you should be concerned about in your new water. Ammonia is a by-product of fish waste, so I should expect it to be free of ammonia. It states pH balanced, so I can only assume it's neutral 7.0. Shouldn't be a problem if you're changing less than 40-50% of the water at a time. If you're doing a 100% water change (like most people do with small Betta tanks), make sure you acclimate. However, this method isn't recommended.

Is this okay to use with both neocaridina and caridina shrimp?
