The Yellow Racer Nerite Snail is a great addition to help control uneaten food and algae in community and planted aquariums. They are a peaceful snail that will not bother other snails, fish or plants. They only reproduce in brackish water, so you do not have to worry about them taking over your aquarium. This snail mostly relies on detritus and algae as their food source, but if that becomes scarce be sure to supplement their diet with sinking pellets. Yellow Racer Nerites thrive in aquariums where some biofilm is left for them to graze on. Utilizing decorations like rocks and driftwood that don't get cleaned or perhaps not cleaning the algae off a give wall of the tank is an excellent way to get them the food they need. This feeding benefit/requirement means you should be careful about over stocking Yellow Racers, especially in aquariums where other effective algae eaters live. We recommend around 3 per 10 gallons of display.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

Black worm with yellow or orange stripes and I don't know what it is
my lizard has yellow areas on her skin
I have 2 Mystery Snails and a betta in a 3.5G tank. Tank is filtered and has a heater. One snail has not grown at all while the other has nearly doubled in size. He is lathargic and I rarely see him eat his food or even come out of the shell. His shell has turned to a dull dark brown colour and looks to be cracking a little bit. Does this sound like a water issue? Does he sound sick? What can I do to help him. In the last picture, he is the smaller snail in the front.
Hello I’m not sure if I have came to the right place, but I have a few questions about my zebra nerite snails in my fish tank. I don’t know if they can reproduce I only have one in my tank but I was wandering what these small snail like creatures are and if they are a threat to my other fish in my tank. I have been looking these up and I can’t quite wonder what they are. Thank you for your service
Hi, I am curious as to why my yellow belly slider's shell seems to be changing colour. I am not sure if it is shedding, or is a sign of shell-rot. Also, it's skin seems to be slightly whitish in colour. Do you have any diagnosis and solution to this possible issue? Thanks!
Can u help me identify this turtle species. Im not sure if it is a yellow bellied slider. Help me by giving me tips on how to keep it
My yellow bellow slider pooped out something that is very not normal. When I found it in the water it was compacted in the normal shape of her poop, but it had what looked like bloody scales and some paste material. Nothing in her diet has changed. The pictures attached are from when I took it out and tried to figure out what it was. That is why in the pictures it is not still compacted together.
Hi my baby turtle has a black spot on its shell.
Only a week ago I transferred my two red eared sliders to a preformed pond enclosure, cleaned the filter, added common goldfish from the pet store to the water -- Not adding the water they came in into the pond obviously. I noticed both had a dull white smudge/blotch on their plastron and tiny white hard bumps on their carapace, and I can't manage to pick them off. No dents or bad smells, clear eyes, clean water. Same diet besides one night of goldfish binging. Could they be calcium deposits?
My red ear slider’s shell looks like it is deteriorating as i can see layers and it has a gray tint. The side is also losing the red color. My RES is around 10-11 What should I do?
My yellow belly slider (turtle) has green on his belly I was rinsing his shell and when i touched it up by his head (on belly) he snapped at me my boyfriend said maybe he just didnt qanna be held but I've had my turtle for 5 years and hes never tried to bite me out of water NEVER
what are these spots on my new baby painted eastern turtle?
