The first few days i got my cockatiel she was sleeping fine but now i put her to sleep at 11 pm and because i stay woken, half of the night i dont hear her but then later when she is not supposed to wake up i hear her running, jumping and climbing the cage. What should i do? (She/he has a cover on the cage)
Hi my bird Angel might be pregnant and she is a parakeet and I bought her a little birdhouse/nest in her cage to use and she keeps going inside but I need to buy materials to put in it. May you please tell me the materials I need to put in her bird house? Also it’s a little dark in there too. Thanks!
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek.
My cockatiel is sneezing
My pet cockatiel is biting his cage and tries to bite/hiss at anyone who comes near his cage. He lives in the cage with another male cockatiel who is much more calm and abit scared. It has been a couple of days since we got them. I need to clean the cage however I cannot due to the cockatiel the bites and the scared cockatiel. I feel like if I clean out the cage the scared one will be even more scared and will be reluctant to be near me.
What is some bird cage recommendation for 2 parakeet at the lowest price available, or if by any chance a free unwanted bird cage at nyc., Thank you
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek. The seller is YaheeTech, which is based in Ontario California but customer pictures show a box with "Made in China." Mostly 5 stars, with lowest rating be 3 stars. Is non-toxic hammertone safe?
I have different answers from Canary Breeders - One Breeder says in Summer, cover cage 12 x 12. The other Breeder gets up at 11 a.m., and goes to bed at 1 - 2 am. Now, At present, I am covering Ringo 12 x 12. It is going onto Summer soon, (Ontario, Canada), and it will get dark at 9:30 pm. Which Breeder is correct? I don't feel right covering Ringo's cage at 4 p.m. And, uncovering him at 4 am. The daylight is getting longer now.
My Canary, Ringo, has a Cage that has a peaked roof, like a house. I have a chance to get a Flat-topped roof, larger cage. Which type of cage do Canaries like? I prefer the house-style cage, as it is more attractive. But, I realize Canaries don't know about their cage being attractive. Ringo would be able to fly more in the larger cage. Is the Peaked Roof just a Personal, Human Preference? And, Not the Canaries?
I am going to visit family for a week and I have to take my bird with me. I saw online that it helps to get him used to the cage for awhile before trying to travel with him. I didn't know I should do that until now. It's only an hour away but I want him to be safe. Should I try to get him in a travel cage (which will be a challenge bc I don't think he would trust me enough to pick him up other than by perching) or use his regular cage? Any other ideas? I know to not have loose toys in the cage.
My cockatiel is turning 7 this November. I've had him all 7 years. But since year 3 or 4 he stopped wanting to come out of his cage. He hates everything. He hates all his toys, he hates anyone who tries to go near him, and He hates all the little playgrounds I buy for him. The only thing he likes is me. When I walk beside his cage, he runs over for me to pet him. But even though I'm the only he likes, he still won't let me hold him. Every time I try to put him on my finger he runs away. And even
Cockatiel's wings tucked between the legs. Gets in the way and falls
