Get your algae and detritus under control with the Prambanan Spiky Trumpet Snail. They are a great addition to help keep uneaten food and algae at a minimum in community and planted aquariums. This peaceful snail will not bother other snails, fish or plants. Like many other snails the Prambanan Spiky Trumpet Snail does not have a very long life span and they will have to be replaced every year or so. They are known to burrow themselves deep in substrate, but will show themselves frequently if tank conditions are ideal. This snail prefers a sandy substrate and a more acidic water parameter. This snail mostly relies of on detritus and algae as their food source, but if that becomes scarce be sure to supplement their diet with sinking pellets.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

My baby red eared slider turtle has some white spots on its shell. What should I do?
Hey, I have a baby Sri Lanka Black Turtle (Melanochelys trijuga thermalis). I rescued the little guy from a pond that was in really bad condition, it had a lot of algae growing on it's shell. I noticed that it has some white spots on it's shell so I brush the shell with a soft toothbrush and apply betadine solution with a Q tip for the past 2 days and let it dry overnight. So I just wanted to know if this is shell rot and if I'm treating it correctly since there are no vets that know how to.
My turtle shell is peeling off like a skin not like a hard scale. its been 2 weeks and it not coming off. It's a local pond turtle.
I just found this on my turtle. I dont know what this is. Help me.
Our turtle has a white spot growing on his foot. It is right next to one of his nails and looks like the nail could fall off. He also has a yellow patch of stuff on his neck starting to grow. What should I do?
