The Assassin Snail has one of the best common names of all invertebrates. They are a common snail throughout their range in southeast Asia, most commonly exported from Malaysia, Indonesia and Sumatra. They are generally found in the soft sand and muddy substrates of clean lakes, ponds, and slow rivers. This is a small snail, usually staying under an inch long and can live for 3-5 years. They are voracious predators of other snails, focusing on snails smaller than themselves prefering ones 1/4 its own size once a day. However, their diet is not limited to snails and they can also be effective at removing nuisance Planaria in your tanks. Once this source of food is depleted, they will turn to other foods. They will happily eat other meaty foods you put into the tank, like pellet and flake foods, even detritus and algae. If your aquarium is housing tropical freshwater fish, these snails should pose no problem for you.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

Hello, i have an Apple snail with a betta and a assassin snail in the same tank. My apple snail broke his shell when he was walking around the tank but he walked and was active, so i tought he was fine, but my assassin snail attacked him and now looks very bad. He isn't dead but he doesn't walk around like a normal Apple snail he just gets out of his shell and sits without walking. Is he gonna live ? I know I'm such a bad owner but please Tell me what to do.... Thanks.
How many snails can I have in a 55 gallon fish tank?
I want to get an apple snail or a mystery snail. I have an indoor storage container pond where I will be putting one or two goldfish in. It doesn't have a top, so can the snails crawl out? If they can, how can I avoid it? Also someone told me to quarantine it, how do i do that?
we have a snail that a student brought to school. It is stuck in the air hole she put in a lid. How can we help it out of the hole
I have 2 Mystery Snails and a betta in a 3.5G tank. Tank is filtered and has a heater. One snail has not grown at all while the other has nearly doubled in size. He is lathargic and I rarely see him eat his food or even come out of the shell. His shell has turned to a dull dark brown colour and looks to be cracking a little bit. Does this sound like a water issue? Does he sound sick? What can I do to help him. In the last picture, he is the smaller snail in the front.
I just recently got a garden snail, does he need a heater at all? And is there anything I should do to make sure he stays healthy?
I just got a puppy and I took him outside. He was exploring the yard and I kept hearing crunching sounds. I figured out it was snails as I watched his try to eat one. I told him no but he seems to like them. I’m worried he may get sick now. How dangerous is that he ate a few? They are tiny garden snails and we seem to have it bad as all the neighbors have snails crawling up the houses. He’s on interceptor.

My hermit crab is in his shell, but I'm not sure if he's molting or he's dead he smells like fish.
I fed my Albino California'sking snake a thawed out frozen mouse yesterday and today he has a piece of mouse fur sticking out of the middle of his body..
What are the white spots on its shell.pls tell me. I sent you a mezsage earlier and you told me to send another message.
My pet red eared slider Snappy is always sleeping and doesn't eat it's food pellets that I gave him. He runs towards the dry area when I put him in the water and he floats. I have seen some very small worms when I put him in the water.
