Summertime Snacks

What are some good and healthy home made frozen and non frozen treats I can give my dogs? Since it's starting to get warm would it be ok for them to eat cold treats? Something that not too high in sugars? And would it be okay to give my dog one treat every day ? Thank you!

Can I take a shih tzu out in the summer after 6 PM? It would be a longer walk preferably 1-2 hours. He would have plenty of water, ice, some froze treats, etc.

What do you recommend I need my new sun conure? I have been giving him seeds, bits of fruit, and such lately. I would just like to know the best thought on what to feed him! I.e. treats and normal diet. Should I buy pellets and change out his food between seeds and pellets daily? Can I offer him dry food treats? What is a good snack/treat for him that’s healthy?

When it's hot out, we tend to give Jasper ice cubes / put ice cubes in his water to cool him down. He loves them and just chomps them up, or plays with it on the floor until it melts. I recently read somewhere that you should do this because it messes with their body heat. Is this true?
