Summer Clothing & Accessories

Have a soft coat Weaten terrior. I have been told that cutting her coat very close to skin will help cool her in summer. Is this true? Live in SC with 90 degree weather

I live in Virginia & fall weather is here, I've found the mornings & evenings to be very chilly. My question is does Ruby need to wear clothing? I keep the house a comfortable temperature but I thought maybe a puppy tshirt would be needed? She doesn't like clothes so I wanted to ask if it's needed.? Thank you for your advice!

I live in Chicago where it gets really cold in the winter. My puppy is small to medium size. Should I consider in getting her dog booties and coat/ jacket for the winter? Or would she be fine in the winter?

Nuala will be taking a 15 hour flight (with layover) as checked baggage. It is forecasted to be around 0-7 degrees Celsius, do you recommend she wears a sweater? Will she be okay? Are there any precautions we should take? She has been approved by the airline to fly in that temperature.

Why does my dog hate wearing sweaters? The others are always good, hazel has a water jacket and I put it on her when its really cold or raining and she always stays still like a statue and then she will rub against the wall, plants, or a couch, the jacket fits her perfectly and she can pee and poop with no issue (asking since summer is all most over ) thank you!

Luna started scratching herself again, it's always on her head around her ears so I need to protect those areas. When the weather starts transitioning into Spring/Summer, my Pittie chews on the top of her feet and once it’s an open sore she’ll continually lick the open sore. I try to treat it with Veterycin and triple antibiotic. It’ll start healing but she’ll open it up again. I give up bandaging.

I live in India and it's summer now. I wanted to trim Jessi's hair but we don't have good groomers in the locality and I don't want to put her in anaesthesia just for a hair cut. Will she be ok if i don't cut her hair??
