I have a Four discus fish with water wisteria(Hygrophila difformis plants ) . Can I add Rock salt(sodium chloride ) in aquarium this tank ? I have some adding this ....so any bad effects on plants and discus ?

Will a salt bath remove or kill encysted black spots from parasites on a wild caught minnow? Will the salt harm the minnow? What dosage should be used for how long in a small treatment container (not the main tank).

We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.

I bought aquarium salt for my betta fish. How many times should I do a water change for his treatment?

I just purchased imagitarium aquarium salt for my betta. I have never used aquarium salt before and It says on the label that I can combine it with sprinkling in a little bit of food once a day. Does this mean it is safe to add the salt in with my fish in the tank? What process should I take so he doesn't become overwhelmed? Also does this help prevent/get rid of fin rot? Thank you!

Are these steps good for this fish's wound and finrot? Part of the fish fin fell off but it is okay now. We're planning to quarantine him and use aquarium salt. Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt

One of my goldfish has fin rot. I just relocated them in a new tank (they were in a bad tank with bad water before, they have backstory that’s not important right now) with new water and all that, I only noticed the fin rot after relocating them. I heard about adding salt into the water, but they’re used to forest water and I have fresh water plants in there. Could you give me some information on how to treat it?
