Dog Dental Wipes & Brushless Cleaning

My 12 year old Boston has CHF so she cannot have her teeth cleaned. I purchased some Well Good dental wipes at my Petco. I am wondering if general over the counter dental items are ok to use? or, would some dental solutions be better?

Lilly is 5 & a half year old,used to eats grain free greenies daily for over a year maybe.Stopped couple of weeks ago.Now getting petsmile sometimes,no brushing though,give it to her as a treat.She always had beautiful teeth until after her second annual cleaning,her teeth don't look great since them.Nothing new,same vet,same routine.Next cleaning in February.Should I use silicone finger toothbrush,cloth,bristled silicone finger toothbrush,long handled toothbrush? Without brushing is enough? Tk

My dog will not allow me to brush his teeth. I have tried alternatives like dental sticks or chews that are supposed to help remove plaque and tartar control as well as a water additive for fresh breath in his water bowl. His breath is starting to stink and some of his teeth are not looking too well. Is it too late to take him to get his teeth cleaned or should I just go straight to a vet?
