Dog Walking Gear Sets

we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?

PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. She will not walk and acts too ashamed.

When I take my dog for walk he sniffs everywhere and pulls me. He at times picks things from road. Even when I try to take it from his mouth. He just wouldn't give. So I tried carrying a treat. It didn't work out too. One of my friends suggested to use mouth guard when I take him for walk. But I feel bad about that. Is it good to use mouth guard? I just want him to walk with me. I've seen so many dogs with their owners just waking with them without pulling. How to make him walk like that?

hello, sometimes when I take my daughter to the park, I want to bring our pomeranian and italian greyhound too, so they can get some fresh air and stimulation. as soon as I tie them up though and step away, they freak out. any suggestions?

My cavapoo pulls on her lead when walking. It’s like the walk is a race to get through. As a puppy she practically took the entire walk on her hind legs like a performing bear. Having gone to behaviour classes with little change, I bought the halti collar which goes over her nose. Although it helps with the pulling, she hates it and spends the walk trying to get it off by either rubbing her face in the grass or jumping up and attacking it with her front paws.

My mixed-breed 2yr shelter dog doesn't like to walk. He likes to sit and look around. Sometimes we have to carry him for a block or so to get him away from the house. We don't like to drag him. We've tried treats and gentle coaxing. We have had him a year, but this hasn't gotten better. Help!
