Whether your pet is prone to shedding, suffers from skin issues or just doesn’t feel comfortable at the groomer’s, home grooming can be a great way for you and your pet to bond. Wahl pet grooming products can make coat and nail grooming quicker and less invasive for your dog or cat.
The answer to this question can rely almost entirely on the breed of dog you have and your personal preferences. There are different dog hair clippers for long, short, medium, heavy, curly and smooth hair, for full-body grooming or just trimming and for regular or cordless grooming—just to name a few. Some dog grooming kits are designed more for detailed styling, while others are made to handle large volumes of fur.
Yes, the Wahl Clipper Corporation—which manufactures Wahl pet products—has operated out of Sterling, Illinois, since 1919.
Yes, Wahl hair clippers can be used on dogs, but you’ll want to make sure that you have the Wahl pet trimmers designed to cut and style pet fur instead of the Wahl hair clippers designed to cut human hair. Depending on your dog’s breed, dog fur tends to be denser and shorter than human hair. Clippers designed for humans may not have the motor power and blade sharpness to trim dog fur adequately, so Wahl pet grooming products are generally the recommended choice for your canine. To discover more appropriate solutions for your new dog, take a look at our New Dog Guide.
While this can greatly depend on your preferences and budget, Wahl has some of the leading grooming solutions available for professional or at-home use. Wahl rechargeable pet clipper kits come with many of the accessories that pet parents enjoy—including guide combs in a variety of lengths, fur combs, Wahl pet grooming scissors, grooming aprons and even instructional DVDs to help you get started. They’re also available with long-lasting ion or lithium batteries for pet parents who frequently trim their pets.
The Wahl Pro Series Plus trimmers line offers pet parents a level of customization that can make styling your dog’s coat simple—even without professional training. Along with guide combs, many of the dog hair clippers in this line also feature adjustable taper levels that can provide pets and their parents the ideal hair length for them.

Hello! I'm looking for an inexpensive set of clippers for Mia. She has, what seems like, a double coat of hair now and since I don't have the means to take her to a groomer right now, I want to give her a nice trim since it's getting warmer, and because I want to be able to see any potential bugs that try to go on her. Any suggestions? That is her right now. Thank you in advance! Stay safe and healthy!

My senior dog (15 year old German Shepherd) has a lot of difficulty moving and getting around. I often have to pick her up because she can’t get up and she seems to get dizzy often. She belongs to my parents so there’s not a whole lot of decisions I can make. My dad says it’s just old age but I worry about her. What should I do?
Hi. I have a really big problem with my pet budgie. It has been 1 year since I have got him . It has been approx 2 months that he has been biting me and my other family members constantly without break for no reason. The bites are very hard and doesnt stop. He hurts us a lot. We try to calm him down but he doesnt. He doesnt chirp that much and doesnt seem happy. We havent done anything wrong to him and his routine is the same as before. He seems stressed all the time. He doesnt look sick. Help.
My dog has been having bloody mucus diarrhea for a couple weeks now. I originally took her in because she was throwing up for about a week straight every meal I fed her. have now seen 4 different doctors. The first one told me she had pancreatitis, the second one said she had a protein allergy and she needed hydrolyzed protein the rest of her life. The 3rd one told me she had a bacteria build up in her stomach that was causing the bloody stools. The last one said she had no idea. Please help
My dog ate a huge bug (like an inch and a half long) that’s been dead for so many years- I don’t know what kind it was but it had wings and kind of looked like a big skinny beetle?? please help! Is he going to be okay? Is he going to be poisoned? What do I do?!
My little Kitten has had diarrhea for four days straight. She is eating the same food as her two brothers and they are fine. They eat dry cat food and still nurse, they drink water as well. Her belly is smaller than her brothers and she is less strong. Before and for a little while after she was born her mother had bad diahreaha, I dont know if that has anything to do with anything. I lightly pressed on her swollen bum with a damp paper towel and she cried out. Cause? What can I do?
Hi. My Golden retriever aged 18months is been vomiting since 4-5days on eating biscuits, omelette, rice. He seems to be fine when he has royal canin, but is vomiting other foods which he was habituated till date. I'm uploading the picture of its vomit that seemed strange. Please let me know.
