The Howls

We have two German Shepherd puppies from the same litter and if they are separated one of them is fine and the other one freaks out and howls and whines the whole time! What should we do?

I just recently adopted a Male cat about a month ago and since we have gotten him he howls all through the night and we cant seem to figure out why? Any help would be appreciated

We went out of town for a few days and now the 1 year old cat cries and howls at her reflection in mirrors , windows etc. Why and what will help it to stop?!

My partner's dog is a two year old beagle hound mix. He claims the dog was abused by the previous owners but I've seen no signs of abuse other than abandonment issues due to his previous 15hr/day work schedule. He howls when alone, gets aggressive over ANY items in his possession, he get's violent by humping and destroying pillows when my partner and I show even the smallest amounts of intimacy. The dog is taken to dog parks and walked daily and is only left alone for a very short period of time

So my cat has been weird when we touch near his tail. Sometime placing hand there will cause a reaction other times a hard scritch. Sometimes no reaction at all. He reacts like a female cat when aroused licking the air and somtimes his side. Never the same side. He made quite distinct howl when my sister tested him and it was the only time. I know his pain howls in the depth of my soul ( he nearly died twice when he was 4 and 5). Is he possiblity hurt or just my horny old man xP.

My dog eats grass everyday she gets a chance more than her food, she pulls on the lead and zig zags as well as running with the lead on. She gets nervous around other dogs. She loves people and is a sweet and gentle around humans but I am worried about her other symptoms. Another one is when i go out and leave her home...she howls and cries. Should I be concerned and take her to a vetrenarian behaviorist?

I have a 16 yr old female dsh, she has been howling a very unnatural howling, I took her to the vet, she has to be on tapazole 5mg 2x a day. it's been 5 mos. on meds and she still howls, I talk to her and she calms down. my vet said it's in her head, I don't understand what that means. can you explain? thank you.

What can I do to help my 7 week old puppy adjust to being in her new home? She whines and howls whenever she is left alone for more than two seconds. I just want to know what I can do to help her.

Hi, I have a 3 year old beagle named Buddy. I just went outside and he was barking up a tree like crazy. He was tearing off branches, pulling down moss, and jumping up and down. He howls & barks all the time but not like this. There were no cats, birds or any animals up the tree. And two weeks ago, I brought him on a road trip and gave him I think 2 pills of calming aid for the road. It didn’t seem to help. But could that calming aid be causing him to have hallucinations? Thanks!!

Whenever I leave my jack russel alone at home, he barks constantly from the second I walk out the front door til I walk back in. The longest he is ever left is 4 hours but he barks and howls that whole time. It is getting so bad that it seems he is developing breathing problems or maybe its just a saw throat, but he makes a lot of noises when breathing after im back. I would like to know if theres anything i can do to stop him from baking when alone and what is wrong with his breathing.

I recently found an amstaff/hound 14mo on the street and looking into her history has been andandoned 4 times I’ve had her a little over a month and she has horrible separation anxiety. But it’s only when I in specific leave My family is there but she still whines and howls nonstop fixated on the door. My mom has adopted a small dog from an animal shelter and 2 months in cannot leave his side. He whines and howls the second she’s out of his sight. The vet has also said he has an absyss and rotten teeth that need to be extracted but that dogs have a high pain threshold so will be fine until for a few months without intervention. My question is if his dental issues could cause this behavioral clinginess as the dogs behavior means she cannot live a normal life right now and is causing more stress
