I noticed a scab while petting my dog but it lifted up to reveal a hole, what could this be? Our vet is closed but I will phone first thing tomorrow

Trying to get her to feel more comfortable when being petted. She is a rescue, former owner surrended her along with sibling. I think she was abused, but nothing in information given me and their testing didn't reveal injuries.

I have a Chinese Pond Turtle that appears to have the right side of its beak rotted away. It started as a little yellowish bump on his beak, but after 2 months it popped to reveal that it was eating away at his beak. What disease is this and what type of treatment would he need?

Dog was treated w PetArmor Plus as a flea prevention for the first time. She now has patches of skin that are scabby & flaky & losing hair. In a bath the scabs came off to reveal red irritated skin. No odor. Doesn’t itch. Thoroughly checked for fleas and ticks, none found. Our other Westie is unaffected - they are together 24/7 & share bedding, food bowl, etc. No changes to diet or environment. Does this sound like a reaction to the flea prevention? Sores were noticed 9 days post treatment.

HERE ARE SOME PHOTOS FROM THIS QUESTION... Hello! My cat has been losing hair lately and it is not growing back. The skin underneath almost looks like a dark blue/black color. I am wondering if this is something I should be concerned about or if it is normal. (it may be hard to see the black/blue spot since her fur color is darker on her back, I tried to reveal the "typical" skin color on her which is the light pink color.) Thank you!

Trixie has history of IBD & has eaten selected protein food for 5 yrs. lately she’s had less appetite. Labs, abdominal ultrasound has been done & found only elevated WBC count. Special GI panel shows elevated folate which I’m told is due to another condition that only an intestinal biopsy can reveal. Is biopsy the best option and if it confirms a reason for the intestinal inflammation is my only treatment option food? b/c lately she’s not wanted any of the special selected protein food flavors.

I got my kitten a week ago and on either the first or second day a small hole/dent formed on her nose (I don't know how, but she is very hyperactive, so I assume she hit something really hard). The next few days this weird brown covering covered the wound, I think it meant that it was healing. But today, the brown stuff fell off when she was playing to reveal the wound once again. I'm fairly certain that it is slightly larger than it was before. Anyone know what is going on?

Day old kittens don't seem to be getting milk. They will knead the mom belly and stay attached to the nipples for a very long time but they are constantly whining and crying. I've been giving them kmr so they have something and they're doing good with it. They are very loud and like I said, will fight each other which actually seems like a good sign because they claw at each other with a lot of strength. I squeezed the mom nipples but nothing is coming. If they are attached arethey getting milk?

We have a 2 year old chihuahua that won’t let my husband near our baby when I’m breastfeeding. Is this cause for concern or is he just be protective of the baby? Thanks

Nick has had eye problems since i picked him up out of a parking lot. We've had one eye removed and he recovered from that just fine. I want to know why his "good eye" is still weeping. It's been on going for a year now. What do I do, please help me.
