This is a follow up post about a question made before. I asked what do experts think of holistic food brands and why they are not talked about as much as other types of food. By holistic I mean brands like Taste of the wild, whole farms, Blue, etc. Brands that serve more protein and "higher quality ingredients". Instead I see more of Purina or other brands that dont have higher amounts of protein or better ingredients.

what is not present in kibble brands like pedigree that are in SO CALLED GOOD brands like Royal canin? what makes royal canin so expensive and pedigree so cheap

We used to use Hartz, but I've been seeing a lot of horror stories surfacing the net about how people have been losing their pets due to something used in this brand.
