How do you cut cat nails ?

I have a 5month old kitten who is eating, drinking and going to the toilet normally (besides maybe being less interested in meat than before - still eating some and biscuits though). Besides that he just wants to lay in his hut, not really interested in playing. He played heaps when we first bought him home but now we can barely keep him playing for a few minutes. He had the cat flu but has recovered. Is this something to be concerned about? Or could it be him getting used to the cold weather?

My guinea pig is dehydrated (faulty water bottle not allowing water to get out and crazy hectic weekend not allowing me to realize water level hadn’t gone down or noticing poor baby’s symptoms). She’s lethargic, not eating, & sunken eyes. She’s nibbled a little on spinach but not truly eating. She’s drinking on her own though. Do I need to syringe feed her pedialyte or is drinking water enough to re-hydrate her?

My cat Jessie a former feral has been diagnosed with severe periodontal issues by my vet and she wants to do tooth extraction (she only has her canines basically) and was told she was more like 8-10 years old rather then a past vet who never looked and said 2 years. How will this effect her physically n mentally? She now eats both moist n dry and eats the other cats food too with no problem. Couldnt get a pic of cats teeth. Thank you.
