What will clear up a respiratory respiratory

My red healer was diagnosed with a slipped disc in her neck. The vet prescribed 3 weeks of prednisone. The vet explained this will eventually dissolve the disc which will help dogs condition. This just doesn't make sense to how without the disc I would think the vertebraes then would pinch the nerves.

My 9 yr old Nor Elkhound / Husky cross has non hemangiosarcom of the liver (she had her spleen removed) . The histology saw spindle cells - mitotic index up to 15. I am giving her Chinese herbs - do you think antinflamatories are of much help to reduce vascularization of tumors. She has several small ones on her liver.She is fine now - active, happy, affectionate, good appetite etc.Chinese herbs are Yun Zhi (turkey tail mushroom), HSA compound, Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang. what do you think of these?
