My dog has bowel incontinence due to DM. He seems to be loosing anal tone now. His anus used to move a lot after pushing ice cube on it, which pushed the poop out. For the past few days, his anus hasn't been reacting to the ice cube. I tried Qtip, which seems to stimulate more, but not to the point where the poop comes out. I don't know how far I can go either. Is there anything like ice cube or Qtip that I can try to induce his bowel movement? rather than adding fiber to his diet?
My vet dermatologist recommended Tracker get an ultrasound to look at his heart murmur. Is it really needed?
Could you please recommend an activity tracker for my puppy (one that does not require a monthly subscription)?
My black lab has eaten a human beef stock pot cube - one ingredient is onion powder and i’m just winding myself up with concern
My pup that is 3 1/2 months old got into my friends litter box and was chewing on a freshener cube for the litter. Salivating a lot now.
How many treats should I give my puppy a day for training and rewarding purposes in this bag. I give him 1 cm x 1 cm cube treats. I usually fill half the bag per day.
We think our chihuahua ate half of a fitness tracker wristband. He’s acting completely normal with eating and pooping and he pooped a few pieces out two days ago. Should we be concerned or just let it run its course?
Ever since Sunday night I saw my cat wobbling out of her bed cube, she walks funny and won’t eat or drink. Later on I find her hiding as if she’s preparing to die. I found liquid vomit and just a bit ago she came inside the house, constantly stuck in the same position. Her gums above her canines are so red. She won’t open her mouth. I’m about to syringe feed her.
my puppy ate a small cube of gum. after i saw her eat it, i made her throw up with 3% hydrogen peroxide. she threw up but i did not see the gum. it was sugar-free and it also had Xylitol in it. she drank plenty of water and she seems fine. should i worry? and also, i don't have the money to take her to a vet right now. it was ice breakers ice cubes.
Hi, my name is Julia and I am a college student working on a device that will function as a smart collar for dogs. I know the market already has some of these but I was wondering what features do you think are the vital ones that need to be included in this device. We have a GPS tracker, hope to have a heartbeat sensor, and outside temperature thermometer. But what else do you think would be vital to have measured to have a comprehensive image of a dog's health? We would really appreciate it!
Hello there, Kasper has been pooping small balls (not logs) of poop, most of his life. Most of them are not too hard, and litter sticks on them (he is not very constipated). He poops everyday, normal quantity but the shape of the poops bother me (some are dry I feed him 1 spoon of Pumpkin everyday (organic + boiled, i keep them in ice cube tray in the freezer), it helps. But I am bit worried that it has to do with his kidneys. Is it normal? I know Kasper's dad died from PKD at a young age.
Last night my Bluetick/Redtick started hacking like she was choking. I’ve seen her do this before, but it happened about 4 times. Since then, she’s drooling, she’s not active which is completely not her normal; no food or water. Won’t even lick an ice cube. She’s mostly just standing not wanting to move. Or she’ll lay beside me. Her ears are down and tail down. When other dogs run outside to bark at the UPS truck she just looks at me. She normally leads the way. Our vet clinic can’t see her her.
