I have a jack russell pug beagle cross (mostly beagle jack in appearance) who is developing bald spots from scratching and chewing her elbow joint, mid back and now lumps in her ears and her odor is very strong. We stopped treats to reduce sugar intake. Add turmeric cinnamon and olive oil to her food and have been applying vitamin e to the areas. It is getting worse. Any ideas what it might be?
Is it too late to evaluate "weak rear" syndrome in my 11.9 y/o Irish Wolfhound. He seems to have gotten worse over the past two weeks; requiring help to stand and ambulate and have a BM. He doesn't seem to be in pain. I feel like my vet dropped the ball on him/me earlier this year suggesting his weakness and weight loss were due to "old age." The IW foundation states that old age is not a diagnosis. Now I'm wondering if diagnostic testing might have cued in on the underlying issue/cause.
I have recently lost my dog to cancer. He had a bump on his torso on the left hand side. They did X-rays, blood tests and recommended a biopsy. We decided to opt for the biopsy, she described the bump as a bloody cavity that squirted and the results came back as attached. The bump was gone, we were instructed to give him metacam and watch if it returned. It returned 5 weeks later and was diagnosed sarcoma, but it was too late to remove. I want to know if a scan or operation could have saved him?
Maisy got spayed in January , the scar was quite big so took a while to heal, however tonight I have found her licking her scar a lot and she has blister type sores on it
My Dog is around 7 years old, he has been constantly pushing and straining for around 5-7 days to go for a toilet however he has diarrhoea and most of the time nothing is coming out. We have recently moved home otherwise nothing has changed and he has never had previous health problems. My other dog who is around 3 has none of the same symptoms or any. please can you help/ suggest a solution
Myv2 and 1/2 year old cat has CHM and is having trouble getting oxygen on her blood..ibhave oxygen tanks and I want to build her anboxygem box. How much oxygen should I be pumping into her space and should it closed or punctured?
My dog is on liquid Seizure meds and hates them. The vet said the dose is to small for a pill form. How do I get my dog to take the liquid med? She also has very few teeth so chewing isn't an option unless it's a soft food and she's super picky. Thanks!
I posted a couple weeks ago because a larger dog landed on my 1 year old Yorkie while playing, he was initially limping but it only lasted a day before he was back to normal. Today after he went to the groomer I noticed that his shoulder appears to be swollen it feels almost as though it’s filled with fluid. He has been acting fine and his limping is gone. I have a vet appointment Wednesday but I wanted to address it now. It’s difficult to see but you can tell it’s uneven from the other shoulder
My 35 Lbs dog is up for some vaccine renewals. She's needing: Rabies - Due 6-30-19 Bordettella - Over Due Exp. 2-18-19 CIV - Due 4-15-19 Can these shots all be done at once without health risks? Does the CIV (dog flu shot) need another full round of initial shot + booster? Or can she just get the booster ? Thank You
I have a male dog who is not food aggressive when he is with my husband and me. We can take things out of his bowl or grab things out of his mouth, no problem. We recently introduced a new dog into the household and while prepping their food in an attempt to feed them together (after feeding them separately for 10 days), my male dog growled at the new dog. I figured that was a bad sign and decided to feed them separately. I would like to eventually feed them together. How can this be achieved?
I noticed a bump on her hind leg yesterday and she is limping as of this morning. I put ichthammol hoping to draw out whatever but noticed her other leg has a weird bump in the same area. Her hair grows weird in both legs same place. Should I take her to the ER? I have an appt. on Thursday.
