Can a bearded dragon have mealworms? And if so how often?
I just bought a fancy bearded dragon. It’s maybe 4 inches. I was wondering how much I should feed it. Not how many times a day but a quantity amount. How many crickets and what amount of veggies (oz)
Hello! I have a bearded dragon, who hates veggies and fruits. I have a mix of dried veggies with calcium and dried bugs, at the pet store, I got a can of shrimp that's for reptiles and turtles, is this safe to feed one shrimp on top of his salad to entice him a bit? Thanks
Baby bearded dragon only eating veggies
My bearded dragon pooped and there was about half a hornworm he had trouble letting go of. Should I be concerned? The rest of his waste was normal. He has been eating 1-2 horn worms a day along with about 3 large super worms since my normal cricket and super worm supplier has been low for a few weeks. I usually give him crickets and superworms daily and 1 hornworm every few days.
I have an adult bearded dragon that I adopted. I believe he is overweight. How many crickets and meal worms should i be feeding him daily?
I fed my beardie 5 large superworms, 2 horn worms, and 7 medium and large crickets. He chowed all the worms in 30 seconds and ate a single cricket after a minute or two. I have been feeding him this way for over 2 years and have always been told this was fine as long as he doesnt look overweight. He also gets romaine lettuce or kale every day which he usually doesn't touch. My question is, should I be feeding him more? Should I just keep popping in worms until he gets stuffed?
Hi, I have a beardie who is about a year and a half now. I'm worried he isnt getting enough nutrients. He eats blueberries and freeze dried meal worms but I dont know if that is enough. Fresh veggies are so expensive and go bad before he can eat them all. Do you have any suggestions?
My bearded dragon is 13 months old and he has stopped eating as much as he use to like two months ago. About 2 months ago I would offer him a whole big salad with collard greens, butternut squash, carrots, mustard greens, and some bearded dragon bites, but now when I offer him the same he only will eat the collard greens and now some kale instead of mustard greens. He also doesn't really eat every day and soon I'll have some waxworms for him to munch on. Why is he only eating the greens?
Hello, so my 10 month old bearded dragon, Mushu, has been on a diet of both crickets and mealworms for the past 7 months that I’ve had him. When I first got him, I looked up how much to feed him each day, although I did not get a straight answer, so I decided to ask a PetSmart employee and they stated that a juvenile should eat 10 crickets a day, I suspect that she was not a professional since Mushu’s growth is now stunted... Would you know how much to feed him each day? *Thanks
Can beardies eat spring mix from Wal-Mart? It has baby lettuce, baby greens and radicchio. It is also organic too.
