Assemble reptile terrarium with assortment of plants, rock dens, and bedding. Place the Slimline Reptile Fixture on top of the terrarium cover. Do these work for ball pythons, and for 6 pythons would you need 1-2 or more (separate snake tanks)
- Hi! Thanks for your question. I would use the Tropical Slimline fixtures for snakes. You should really only need one per cage, unless the cages are rather large. - Yes you can! We'd recommend 12-18" form the waterline.

I have read on other lights that you shouldn't have a plastic cover over the UVB bulb because it blocks the rays from getting to the reptile. Is this true, or is it ok to keep the cover over the bulb?
- Plastic will blow out the uvb. Hard to believe a company marketing a product like this for reptiles would give such completely awful advice. Please remove the over or get yourself a t5

Can this be used with T5 or just T8? I was going to buy the ZooMed ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5 and I need a hood.

I have the ZooMed 40g for my BD, I just picked this up 18”, I have it sitting on top on the Terrarium, will this be enough for my dude. There is about a two inches lost due to screen set up.
- The zilla team is not being honest. At the height that a 40GB is + the added height of the screen top(which by itself will filter out 30-50% of the UVB) your beardie will efrectively be recieving 0 % UVB . Your Beardie will either have to climb higher to get the needed rays or you will need to mount the light in its unit! In general tube UVB is preferred but not this one!! You should invest in a better UVB lighting rig and bulb or you can use a compact UVB with a dome to sature the Basking spot.

I have a 20 gallon tank for my bearded dragon and I just need to know how many watts of UVB do I need
My red eared slider is not basking even though I brought a uvb light for her just like one of the pet coach vets told me because he has soft shell.I place the light on top of a Zilla screen cover but she still don't get on.I can't really dry dock her because I have a hood for my uvb light.How can I make her to bask and is the Zilla cover okay for her?
Hes hanging out closer to the bottom and hes also lays down with all his legs out but 1. I'm thinking MBD but hes in a screen enclosure, 2 uvb 5.0 bulbs. 1 heat. Crickets always get dusted. He gets plenty of water, and horned worms, plus super worms. Idk what do to I dont want to lose him. I use a multi vitamin aswell.
Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)
I have a hood for my UVB light so how can I dry dock my red eared slider?Should I put her in a separate container just without the UVB?I can't put the UVB right on top of her with only 3 inches apart because that's too close.What should I do if she continues to not to bask?Sorry for keep sending questions but I'm just want to give Cooper a better life than before. We have a Sulcata tortoise who is approx 6 mo old. His enclosure is kept at 85° ambient with a basking spot of around 100°, his humidity we try to keep at around 70-80% and he has a few humid places to hide. He has a UVB lamp. We feed him greens, kale, grass, and cucumbers and soak him 1-2 times per day. He has a calcium supplement that we sprinkle on his food a few times a wk. Recently his eyes have been sealed shut. He seems to be able to see somehow but we are very concerned. What can we do?
If my juvenile slider turtle tank is next to a window, is UBV lighting nessesarry? (This is a wild turtle). And if it is a must, how long can they go without a UBV? (I'm am sending pics so you can see how far the tank is from the window, if you need it)

My turtle shell has some brown spots and some of he corners of his scutes are brown and peeling. His lines on his shell are also brown. He does have a uvb and heat lamp.
I have a turtle I got as a hatchling whose shell has started to curve. I’ve read this could be due to too much protein, too weak of uv/uvb lights, or a combination that makes him grow too fast for the shell to keep up. I’m going to the pet supply store to get a new bulb tomorrow and he eats feeder fish as well as a variety (gold fish food he steals, dry meal worms, pellets from two different brands) of dry foods. How can I help him better?
I was wondering if there are any alternatives for my pet rabbit to get sunlight or UV light without bringing her outside. I want to make sure she gets an sufficient amount of vitamin D even if it is artificial UV light. I'm just concerned of the chance my rabbit is vitamin D deficient and was interested if I should invest in a UVB light bulb for her to compensate for her lack of sunlight.
