What is the best and safest chew toy for a 7 month old Bassett?

I've tried soft toys and toys for seniors but that's a no go for him. Any suggestions? I want to be able to keep him entertained, but have the remainder of his teeth not hurt.
Hello, I have a one-month-old chihuahua. She is biting people a lot, I bought her plush toys but she doesn't seem to like them. Could you please recommend a perfect toy for her? Also after drinking her supplement milk, her stomach starts making loud noises and she threw up and is always coughing like she wants to throw up. Please let me know if I should bring her to the vet.
