Kitties love it but…..

Kitties love it but I’m unsure. The salmon pate has tiny black things all through it. Kinda looks like mold but idk could it be fish pieces? It’s in every can and the dates are right. Anyone come across this in their cans?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Picky Cats! Pet Parent: I love this brand! It has good ingredients, no grains and non poultry offerings. My girls are on a limited ingredient, poultry free diet. Whole Hearted Salmon pate looks and smells almost as good as human-grade! If I were a cat, I would eat it! HOWEVER My privileged felines who don't realize how good they have it in a warm home with cozy bedding and cat trees in every room, believe that they have "choices" and loved this very patè for months then as if overnight decided they no longer even like it! Therefore, I had to rate this product both from my perspective and theirs, which brings us to 3☆. I would have loved to give it 5!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My cats love the salmon. I need to let the Whole Hearted company know that they should add a few other protein choices such as duck, rabbit and other fish.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My cat doesn't like this as well as chicken easy to digest. I don't like the smell nor the difficulty cleaning the can and lid so that I can recycle them. My younger cats will eat this most of the time.

No, I do not recommend this product.

For Salmon Pate, what is the percentage on dry matter percentages for phosphorous, protein, sodium, fat and carbs.

What is the phosphorus content of this flavor?  Thank you!

What the % carbs on both as fed and dry matter basis?

      1. Hi chichian,, Wet Basis- 3.551% Dry Basis- 99.751% Thanks,

menadione sodium bisulfite complex has a bad rap as far as cat food goes. I steer away from any that has this added form of k2 in it. What's your take on it?

      1. Hi kab4, - There are three types of Vitamin K (K1,K2,K3) K1 and K2 are both naturally derived and K3 is synthetically made. Vitamin K is essential for blood clotting. - K1 & K2 the way wet and dry pet food is made often breaks down through processing. K1 & K2 availability is also limited in its supply thus the need in some cases for K3 or Menadione. - K3 is safe and toxic levels are thousands times greater than recommended. - Most Vitamin K is made by bacteria in the gastrointestinal system thus only small amounts are needed. - No case of toxic effect from Menadione has ever been substantiated Menadione sodium bisulfite complex is added in very small amounts to the recipe--just enough to provide the levels of vitamin K to keep a cat healthy. Thanks,

How many calories are in each can of this product?

      1. Hi marwell, 2.8oz - 104 kcal/can 5.5oz.- 203 kcal/can. Thanks,
