What r the normal vital signs in dogs and cats?
This afternoon I took my dogs rectal temperature. He was acting fine, but I thought he felt a bit warm. Temp ended up normal, but this evening he is having some loose stools. It is not watery, or bloody. Just like a pile. I did give him a bone today, one that he's had in the past once and didn't seem to affect him. Could I have possibly injured him during the temp taking? He didn't make any noises, just tried to get away like normal.
I took the temperature reading of both Kronos (my puppy Rottweiler) and Stephanie (my adult Rottweiler) and they both read exactly 37.3°C (99.140F) on the two readings each of them both. Exactly the same temperature twice each for them both. I thought the thermometer was broken and tried to read something else and got a different reading for the other thing. Kronos (puppy) seems lethargic with loss of appetite, but Stephanie (Adult) is very very agile and active. Should I be worried?
Hi, my lab was swimming in cold water today and I was worried about hypothermia. She was shivering really bad. I got her warm by the fire but she kinda stumbling.
