Works well, hair is a bit hard to clean out from the brush but that would be my only complaint. It does a great job on my shedding short hair dog. I’ve found it also works well as a way to shampoo during baths!

I really like this Well & Good Black Oval Bristle Dog Brush. My lab has alopecia and some times has thin spots. This brush works well for him its soft enough that is doesn't scratch his skin, but still smoothes the hair in the thick areas. I also use this brush on my golden retrievers face. It smoothes his hair and doesn't hurt. It will not work on his long hair, because it tangles and we need a comb for that. I love the way that this brush fits in my hand. My husband is left handed and he likes to use it too.

The brush is contoured to fit your hand and it does that well. It doesn't do much for my blue heeler/lab mix. The Cairn terrier it works a little better on and he has a different coat type. Both of them enjoyed being brushed with it. The hair is hard to get out of the brush.

I have multiple brushes for my dog. This one is nice because it has rubber grips and fits comfortably in your hand whwn you use it. The brush picks up the loose hair and is easy to remove. They don’t even know that I’m brushing them with this hand held brush. It feels so good that Duke falls asleep while I am brushing him. Honey is usually very hesitant about new things or people touching her. She didn’t even notice that I had the hand held brush in my hand. It felt like a little massage to her. If I had tried to approach her with a regular brush she would have ran. I received this brush from spotted by Petco sampling program for free. It is a “Well and Good - bristle brush - made to stimulate the coat and distribute natural oils.” The bristles are firm enough to remove lots of hair, but gentle enough, so that they actually enjoy being brushed by it. The fact that it’s hand held makes them think that it’s just me giving them a massage. The brush fits very well in my hand and they don’t see it when I approach them. @petco #spottedbypetco

I really like the brush. It is so easy to use without the handle to get in the way. It’s just like petting my pups when using it. They love it. The bristles are just strong enough for it to stimulate their skin without agitating it. I would need something a bit stronger for my Cockapoo because his hair is so thick and coarse but it is perfect for my bichon/shitzu mix.
