The Black Tiger Oscar is a striking cichlid known for its bold black body and vibrant orange-red markings. Growing up to 12 inches, this intelligent and interactive fish is a standout in large aquariums. Oscars are curious, social fish that can recognize their owners. They require a 70+ gallon tank with good filtration and stable water conditions. Best kept with similarly sized, non-aggressive tankmates, they thrive on a varied diet of pellets, frozen foods, and occasional live treats. With proper care, the Black Tiger Oscar adds both beauty and personality to any aquarium.

I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
Currenly i have two African Cichlids, specifically tigar oscar cichlids. They are in a large tank, about 75 gallons, with a algae eating plako. They are about 5 to 6 inches long. Im curious to know if i could move my African sideneck turtle into the tank with them. She is young. But ive noticed tha she doesnt swim extremely well so i think it might be a bad idea. Thoughts?
Can I add my big Oscar to my small oscar
Can I add a regular oscar to my fan tail oscar.?
hello i am treating my 75 gallon tank for ick for the 9th day my temp is at 83 degrees i just notice one of my Oscar fish constantly opening and closing his mouth and hanging in a cave at the bottom not moving around the tank as usual is this a cause for concern? thanks also he ate one of my tetras this morning
My oscars fish is lying at the bottom of the tank and rarely eating anything What should i do
My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.
Can i keep arowana with oscars?
My Oscar fish is about 4 months old and when I first got him he was very active and then out of no where he became very lathargic and he barely eats and it look as so his scales are beginning to come off he is housed with onother Oscar but the other one doesn't mess with him so I don't know what is going on
One of my parrot cichlid has developed black eye which I don't seem to understand as to what is it exactly. Eye is swollen and a bit out of its socket. Previously it was white but now changing to black color. Due to this fish is hiding continuously and other fishes are pinching it.
i want have 2 oscars and 2 jack dempseys in a 75 gallon tank would that be ok ?
Sir actually i have made a community tank in which i had red eye tetras, mollies, tiger barbs, gouramis, etc. But my younger brother has put some oscars and king kong red blood parrots in it. Will they be compatible together or do i need to separate them out?
