Thank you! The shirt does work. Measure your BFF proof to purchasing. I selected the size based on the weight range instead of the width of her chest. Neck strap does not fit around her neck. The body however does fit. Purchasing another in pink and for sure a different material. My girl is a Husky and currently shedding. Thanks Thor 😁

The item I bought, which I thought I was buying new, arrived and it was clearly used. I took the thundershirt out of the box and it already had dog hair from someone else's dog on it. I haven't tried using the product yet bc I want to wash it first. Very disappointed I was not notified I would be receiving a used item.

I first purchased one of these about 10 years ago for my rescued Malinois puppy. Fast forward to 2024 - that puppy had crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January and we decided to get a German shorthaired pointer a week ago. He was hyper and spent a lot of time scratching and chewing. I picked up two of these shirts (a S and an XS since he is sort of in between) and again, what a life saver! He has been calm since I put it on him. No biting his feet and legs. Nowhere near as hyper. I will keep both shirts so I have one for when he gets bigger.

I got it just in time for the 4th of July and we had a much calmer night that ever before. When it thunders he now comes running to me for his "jacket." I'm so glad I got this product. It works for us.

I think we only got moderate help from the Thundershirt for both of my dogs. They were still aware of the fireworks going off and didn't relax completely. When I left them to take a shower, I found one of them under the bed when I came out.

Not sure if it works or if it's the placebo effect (for the owner!) Used it a couple times yet, dog seems calmer, not 100% convincing but no harm or side effects so I will continue using and monitoring.

I was skeptical that it would work. My dog was trembling when the fireworks on the Fourth of July started. After we put it on him, he was noticeably calmer.

How do you measure a dog for a Thunder shirt? I know you go by pounds, but dogs gait and chest differ, even if they have the same weight

Measure around chest area, length from collar area to in front of tail at body.

What if my dog's weight shows one size but chest meaaurement shows another? He weighs 70 lbs (size XL) but chest is only 30 inches (size L). He is a Lab and 15 mos so shouldnt grow more.

My rescued dog is always anxious and afraid of both human and load noise. I'd like to give this shirt a try. Is there a time limit to wear it per day? Can I leave the shirt on my dog? Will the effect reduce after a while? Thanks!

My dog is a rescue also and this shirt has been such a help. It calms him down almost instantly. I’ve let my dog wear it for long periods of time but he hasn’t worn all day but I don’t see why you couldn’t wear all day. I don’t think longer periods reduce the effectiveness. He’s much calmer every time we put the shirt on.

Has anyone had help with separation anxiety with the vest. We can’t leave our wire fox terrier without excessive barking and house destruction. Any help would be appreciated

I have used it on a cross-country with my Paparanian and he did great. I don't know if it would have been different without it as it was his first trip. I really can't answer about leaving your dog alone in it. I guess if you have to leave them, it wouldn't hurt to try and see. You can return it to Petco if it doesn't work.

Will this shirt help with motion sickness in a car?The only time my dog wasnt sick was when I held her and someone else drove. I was wondering if you know if it will help?

I'm no expert but I would say that if the motion sickness is the result of anxiety, it should help a lot. I drove from Colorado to Massachusetts with my dog wearing the thundershirt except at night when we were in the hotels. He handled the trip like a pro!

I have a 52lb bulldog. I am not sure of her chest size but she is very stocky with a large barrel chest. Would you recommend a L or XL? Thanks.

My owners used the dog sizing chart found on the Thundershirt website. It fit perfect by using the chart. Wolff "Turko the Dog"

My dog is 41 pounds with a 26 inch chest. While the chart would put her in a large, others have mentioned that they run large. Should I buy a medium?

From my experience, the Large is better. They’re easy to tighten, so I think it’s better to be a little bigger than too small. (My guy doesn’t like wearing it, so I kinda gotta coax him in, but it works like a charm!)
