  • - WORLD'S FIRST HUMAN GRADE DRY DOG FOOD: Most pet food is something called 'feed grade.' • - A SMART START FOR PUPPIES: This complete and balanced dry puppy food has enhanced protein to support muscular development, boosted DHA for brain health, and double the probiotics for digestive system support. Suitable for large breed puppies as well as adult mothers (gestation/lactation)
  • - PREMIUM NUTRITION: Clusters are thoughtfully prepared using human grade muscle meat & liver, oats, beneficial fats & live probiotics; cold pressed into delicious, bite-size, ready-to-eat pieces. This recipe is also free of potatoes and legumes
  • - MINIMALLY PROCESSED: Clusters are made by mixing human grade nutrient-rich whole foods, cold pressing them into bite-sized clusters, and then gently roasting and dehydrating them to maintain the nutrients, aroma and taste of whole foods
  • - WE SAY NO TO: This recipe contains no feed grade ingredients, meat meals, fillers, GMO ingredients, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives
  • - NATURAL & MADE IN THE USA: This natural dog food is made with ingredients you'd recognize from your own kitchen, and made in the USA with trusted sources from around the world

Puppies begin to eat solid foods around 4-6 weeks. After weaning, use the feeding guidelines noted on the packaging as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to reach desired weight. Your puppy's needs may vary with age, size, breed and activity level. Always provide access to clean, fresh water. If transitioning from another food, add a little Clusters to your puppy's current food each day over the course of 5-7 days while decreasing the amount of current food. Active Puppies: Feed as much or as often as needed to maintain ideal body weight. Food may need to increase up to 1 1/2 times the amount listed above. Gestation/lactation: Feed enough to maintain ideal body weight, food may need to increase 2 to 4 times the amount listed.

how long can it sit out without causing problems

  1. I would feed this food and any other within the company’s freshness expiration date. NEVER feed old rancid food to any animal. As with humans, you can cause GI problems. With dogs and horses rancid food can be a contributor to bloat/colic.  If you don’t know the expiry date, pick up your phone and call the company with the lot number of the food.  If you suspect the food is bad, use common sense and throw it out just like you would for yourself.

How many cups come in 20 lb bag?

  1. Hello! Thanks for reaching out. There are about 84 cups in each 20-pound bag of clusters. I hope this helps!

This is not typical kibble!!!

RB

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using The Honest Kitchen dog food, since 2010. My cherished border collie began eating the dehydrated food back then. I think several factors contribute to a dog's lifespan, and diet is one of them. Despite his various health issues, he lived for over 16 and a half years. Recently, I welcomed a new border collie agility puppy, and I was certain about what I would feed him. It had been quite a while since I had seen kibble, as I was used to the dehydrated food, and I can honestly say that it smelled burnt and resembled nothing like real food. I was thrilled when my Honest Kitchen Puppy Clusters arrived, allowing me to start the transition. As soon as I opened the bag, it had the aroma of genuine food. When they say this isn't kibble, they truly mean it. He will be enjoying the whole range of Honest Kitchen products, and as he grows older, he will switch to The Honest Kitchen dehydrated food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing!! We have tried so many kibble brands, toppers, etc and our puppy just wouldn’t eat. He’s now underweight. Until now, he LOVES Honest Kitchen and is so EXCITED to eat! I think he thinks it’s a bowlful of “treats”! My pup is on his way to a healthy, happy life! Thank you Honest Kitchen!
