[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two dogs that couldn’t be more different. We worked and researched to find the right food for them. They are both puppies and we wanted to make sure they received the nutrients they need for long, healthy lives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have some of the most pickiest dogs and they absolutely love the chicken and beef dehydrated meals. It’s the only thing they’ll eat and I know I’m giving them a healthy meal! Thanks

My dogs love it

Sheila R.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been feeding Honest Kitchen for 12 years and have used both the chicken or the beef. I have been using the beef with grains for many of those years. My newest edition to the pack, an Australian Shepherd seemed to be going poop way too often, so I did a food intolerance test and determined she had a severe intolerance to beef among other things. I switched her to chicken and grains and have seen an improvement and she loves the food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the chicken recipe for about 4 years. I started using it when my dog, Reagan, was diagnosed with cancer. I believe from the bottom of my heart that this food stopped the cancer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a mixed breed and she is an older dog with sensitivities so getting her on any dog food has always been an issue but within the past few months I've been able to get her to start enjoying the honest kitchen dehydrated food and am very hopeful that she will continue to enjoy it. I do know that this is a really awesome company and it's quality.

Dehydrated Chicken

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was a great way to add a delicious topper to my dogs' dinner. I got a free sample of this Dehydrated Chicken by The Honest Kitchen from PINCHme. com. You could still use this as your dog's full meal, but I think it worked well as just a topper. It's a high quality product that my dogs loved. Would definitely recommend trying this.

Questions

How does this food compare to farmers dog brand ?

  1. We use Ollie which is similar to The Farmers Dog. We feed Ollie to our oldest but I was looking for a more economical solution for my younger two pups as Ollie is expensive. We went with The Honest Kitchen and my pups couldn't be happier. Sometimes my old guy likes to swap his Ollie for this as well. All my dogs can have sensitive stomachs and we have not had any issues since using both Ollie and The Honest Kitchen. Highly recommend The Honest Kitchen.

When adding water does the food get mushy? My Malti-Poo, Ginger, has been eating dry food for years and I've recently added a few chicken clusters. She loves them so thinking of trying the regular recipe.

  1. Yes, very similar to oat porridge.

Would this food be soft and small enough for a senior toy dog with few teeth left?

  1. Yes.  I originally bought it for my senior.  It does require to have warm water Mixed with it.  It has been amazing for my boy who had also developed reflux.  It is incredibly healthy as well.

Why is the product in 2 and 7-pound boxes?  It comes out to 7.14 a pound rather than ordering directly from the company and getting a 10 pound for 6.49 a pound?  Are the boxes made just for Petco?

  1. Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We make this recipe in 2-pound, 4-pound, 7-pound, and 10-pound sizes. The variety allows you to choose the size that will be most convenient for your pup. All box sizes are also available directly from The Honest Kitchen. Thanks for your question!
