If your dog isn't as active as they once were, we recommend our Sierra Mountain Canine Recipe because of the lower calorie, protein, and fat content compared to our other recipes. As a general guide, we recommend transitioning puppies to adult food at about 10–12 months of age. In the meantime, we recommend continuing on a puppy-specific or all life stages recipe. Please note, our puppy formulas were formulated as all life stages recipes, meaning they meet the nutritional needs of dogs at all ages, from puppy to senior. These recipes include specific nutrients, like added DHA that aids in brain and eye development, to help your puppy grow to their full potential. Hello and thanks for being a part of the TOTW family! Yes, you may transition your Pit Bull to our Wetlands Canine Recipe. We recommend a gradual transition between formulas over a 7-10-day period in order to prevent digestive upset. You can do this by starting with 25% of the recommended feeding portion of Wetlands mixed with 75% of the recommended portion of the puppy diet for 2-3 days. Then, 50% of each for 2-3 days, followed by 75% of Wetlands with 25% of the puppy recipe for 2-3 days before feeding Wetlands entirely. Also, be sure to check the feeding guide on the bag to ensure you are feeding your dog the correct amount of the new recipe. Please know, if you’d like to keep your Pit Bull on our puppy recipe, they are formulated as all life stages recipes, meaning they were developed to meet the nutritional needs of dogs at all ages, from puppy to senior.

I have 3 Siberian Huskies, located here in DFW, Texas, so it's HOT, HUMID majority of the summer which makes them less active as they prefer to cool down indoors unless I set out the pools. We lately had some good winters and they are more active running laps (6yrs, 4yrs, 3yrs old). After they finished this bag of food I noticed they acted like they were starving all the time, their coats were dull, one of my girls gets itchy patches if she eats grains and this food claimed grain free but she started to bite herself in the same areas back when when she was eating grain foods. They all started acting out by grabbing anything on the counters which they never done before, the young one will eat poop outdoors and they all just walk around eating grass or weeds. They all never showed this behavior before switching them off to this brand. I noticed the ingredients show canola oil, which is the cheapest oil and should be used in moderation for dogs, but how can that be possible if that is their primary meal multiple times a day every day? I was advised that hard food is still cereal with some healthier than others, I decided to try to find a cheaper alternative, but this food is like the lucky charms of food and I feel a responsibility to feed our dogs higher grade hard food since they don't get a choice of their own.

No, I do not recommend this product.
