Premium Timothy Grass Grab & Go Compressed Bales are formed by allowing Standlee forage to grow to the proper stage of maturity, cutting the plants, allowing them to sun-cure (dry) to an acceptable moisture level and baling the forage at the optimal time. Timothy Grass forage is highly palatable, is low to moderate in protein and high in digestible fiber. Recommended For: Growing (slow to moderate growth), mature or overweight horses, horses with HYPP, performance horses, early pregnancy mares and breeding stallions.

  • - Lower calories than alfalfa or mixed forages
  • - Natural forage length mimics grazing
  • - Moderate protein
  • - Easy to feed and store

Good price for size, its cheaper than anywhere else besides the regular bound bales that incur 60 dollar shipping charges that only become cheaper for mass orders.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hay is hay & for you folks that pay a premium for the other brands are crazy. Standlee has been a lifesaver caring for 18+ guinea pigs over the years. A couple complaints regarding the timothy hay is lots of hay pokes & can be majorly dusty at times, which adds to the weight & depletes what's edible. P.S. I wish Petco would offer Standlee orchard grass grab go 50 lb compressed for sale. It may be a little softer for tooth grind but it's much gentler when it comes to hay pokes.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Buying these bales at my local feed stores is always a toss up. I was happy to receive fresh, good quality timothy hay to my door.

I've bought many of these. I started weighing them. They weigh between 27 and 42 pounds. Not even close to 50 pounds claimed

Inconstant Quality - my first bag was great and I thought I finally found a source of hay to replace oxbows awful price to quality issue but just like oxbow you never know what you're going to get here. Second bag was brown and smelled bad - bunnies wouldn't touch it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

50lb Timothy hay bales for bunnies!!! Amazing!!!

I’ve bought the 50 lb Timothy hay bales from Tractor Supply and 4 times ended up with crappy, unusable, dusty, hay that my bunnies won’t eat. Ordering from Petco, I have had no problems with the hay so far!!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great quality!

I’ve been buying the Standlee Timothy Bales from one of the big box farm stores for several years now to feed my pet sheep and also my indoor rabbits. The quality of course changes depending on the time of year, cutting, etc (which is expected) but they’ve been extra dusty and extra stalky for at least a year now. I decided to try ordering from Petco this time so I could just have it shipped vs having to go pick it up and I’m VERY impressed with the quality. It’s still dusty of course being how it’s a compressed bale but it’s super soft and leafy compared to what I have been getting. This is the best bale I’ve gotten in a long time and it was $4 cheaper. Plus Petco tends to run a lot more sales. I’ll definitely be purchasing through here again.

Yes, I recommend this product.
