I loved that the Timothy/Alfalfa cubes were easy to break apart and soaked up water to become soft in minutes. It allowed me to feed them right away each morning with their balancer pellets.

My horse is 27 years old and his teeth are in bad shape. I have been feeding these pellets soaked in water twice daily. This is the brand he loves! He is slowly putting some weight on.

Senior Horse Benefitted

I started my 24 old gelding on this a month ago to potentially replace any nutrition he was missing from his coastal hay due to his back teeth starting to flatten out. I replaced 5/15 pounds of his hay with soaked Standlee’s Alfalfa Timothy Pellets. He seemed to fill out and become shinier! Thank you Standlee, for keeping in mind the senior horses!

Do these cubes need to be soaked or are they fed dry?

  1. I have a senior horse and we soak them for 2 hours before feeding it to him. Some of the cubes are pretty compressed.
