Description

The So Phresh Multi-Cat Ultra Clumping Grass Seed Litter has powerful clumping capabilities that immediately combat odor in the air so your home stays fresh. What makes this litter so special just isn't the fact that it is made with 100% US sourced, grass seed. The super-absorbent and strong clumping properties, combined with it being an earth-conscious alternative to clay, is a rare formula to find in a litter, especially one made without chemicals. Light in weight but strong in performance, our litter will exceed your expectations at trapping odor and keeping the waste contained in one tight, non-crumbling ball that won't stick to the sides of the litter box or break. So at the end of the day, you can breathe with some ease knowing you are scooping sustainably without sacrificing on performance.

Down & Dirty Directions: 1.Pour enough litter into a clean box, covering the bottom to a depth of at least 3 inches. 2.Each day remove your cat's business (#1 and #2) with a sifting litter scoop. Dispose of waste in trash receptacle. Clean the litter box regularly with warm water and mild detergent. 3. Replenish used litter with new litter as needed to maintain a depth of at least 3 inches. Replacing litter often will help minimize odors.

FOR PET USE ONLY. Keep out of reach of children. Inspect regularly and replace when litter becomes damp and/or soiled. A parasite found in cat feces may cause toxoplasmosis, especially in pregnant, nursing, or immunocompromised persons. Consult your physician for more information. Dissatisfaction with Petco website

Lois Riggins

So Phresh cat litter is fine. I would probably use it regularly except that I have to use the Petco website to order it. The Petco website is terrible. I felt that it was constantly trying to trip me into spending more money by unintentionally signing up for things. I found it very hard to deal with.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great price for a good product

This is the best price on a grass seed litter anywhere and a superior product. The odor control for urine is especially good, it is well tolerated by most cats, good for cats with allergies and asthma, low dust, and easy to scoop and toss away. Downside is that it doesn't cover poop odors that well, no unscented grass litter does, and it can track a bit but not worse than clay litter.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Grass litter is the best I've ever used, I'll never go back to clay based litters again. Highly absorbent, clumps into tight balls of urine and coats most poop. It's light weight and easier for me to carry. My cats love it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this made of wheat grass seed? Is it gluten free? I was recently diagnosed with celiac and I need to know if this litter may be the reason that I cannot get rid of my symptoms.

  1. Hi Esiok, Good day! The litter is Sorghum Seed grass seed. 100% grass seed. Sorghum is gluten free. Thanks,

I would like to know if they use pesticides or synthetic fertilizers to grow/process the Sorghum grass seed, and/or is it tested for those residues? I don't want my cat in a pesticide/herbicide mix, or tracking around the house, clinging to her fur. TKS!

  1. I don't know how the grass seed is grown, but I have been using a grass seed litter for over 5 years and my cats are old. I love this stuff it doesn't stick to the box like concrete.

Has anybody used this in a Litter Robot?

I have two cats and three large litter boxes. I generally use 80 pounds of regular clay litter a month. Does that mean I'd need 40 pounds of this, or more?

    1. Hi AmberPfaff, Good day! Natural litter types have different densities and weight, so when comparing two different types of materials it’s hard to estimate the usage rate compared to clay as there are many other factors that affect usage (i.e. we can’t say for certain that 1 lb. of full weight clay is equal to ½ lb. of grass seed litter.) We would recommend that you buy a small bag of grass seed and test out how much of it they use and then calculate through your individual conversion rate. Our guess estimate is that you would need less than 40 lbs. of grass seed to hit the same usage as 80 lbs. of full weight clay. Thanks

For anyone who has tried using this litter in a Litter-Robot: Which model/generation? Did you find it to be compatible? Did clumps properly release from the globe & fall out during self-clean cycles? Have any other non-clay litters worked better for you?

      Can the bag be recycled??

      1. YES! We are able to recycle plastic bags (and clean plastic wrap) at several retail stores. Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Lowes to name a few - just look for the bin or box up at the front of the store that says "recycle plastic bags here" and thank you for caring/recycling!

What is the best litter box to use with this product to help prevent tracking and cats who like to fling when digging/covering

      1. I use one of those long foot stool/storage kitty litter boxes  with a cover and a large pan inside and my messy cat cannot throw stuff outside the litter anymore!

What is the seed content? Does this have noxious or invasive weed seeds?

      1. Seed content is grass seed. It clumps great. I stopped using it because my cat developed a bladder infection almost immediately. So I went back to Swheat Scoop, no more issues.

Is this good for sifting litter boxes? Does it clump fast?

      1. Hi Puckbunni, Yes the grass seed litter can be used with a sifting litter box and creates strong and hard clumps. Thanks,

      Does this litter attract bugs?

      1. Been using about 6 months and have not noticed any.
