Purchased this for my 125g freshwater tank to increase flow on the side opposite my filter outtake. It works incredibly well and I'm impressed with Sicce's 3 year warranty, although I doubt I'll need it, this thing is so well made. It's super quiet as well!

Purchase several of these in various sizes, with this 5000 being the latest version. Sicce makes the best built quietest pumps/wave makers on the market. I've purchase some competitors and they are less expensive however they have all broke or become increasingly loud. Its worth it to spend the money on a high quality product like this. Lasts for a very long time in fact i've not had one break in the years that i've been running them.

Excellent quality, flow and quiet

Quiet and strong flow. Since products are always high quality and this 5000 Wave Pump follows suit. Best warranty in the business because of their quality. Works well for my 40g frag tank. The torches and acros love the extra flow. Because of the high flow I do have to move the pump high on the tank to avoid direct flow onto the corals.

Is this wave maker good for a 55 gallon aquarium?

    Might be on the powerful side for fresh water depending on what you are trying to do with it. Sicce makes some of the best pumps however, I am currently using 7 of them between all my aquariums.
