My cat that kidney failure and is a pickey eater. Have tried 2 different Hill Science diet - she won't eat. She eats Fancy Feast - it is chuncky food w ith gravey. I know she needs k/d and am wondering if you can recommend any of your k/d food that
- I have the same problem with the 9 yr old male cat who was now diagnosed with Kidney disease early December 2019. My vet prescribed Hills Prescription K/D wet food (Chicken Flavor with vegetable stew), and my boy doesnt want to eat it. I switched and ordered a different flavor (Vegetable stew with Tuna) and now hes not eating for 2-3 days now. I am so frustrated and scared at the same time, I dont know what to do with my finicky eater furbaby :'( I am gonna try to ask my vet tomorrow if he can prescribe me Royal Canin for my cat. I hope and pray both of our babies heal.

I have one cat who has been diagnosed with renal failure - early stages. She is six year old, and a very small kitty (6 pounds). She is now on Royal Canin Renal Support Dry food, which she seem to like pretty well, but I have two other cats in the house who do not need the food, but they like it also and will not eat their food (Taste of the Wild Dry Food). One of our male cats recdently had a blockage and we had to take him to emergency. We got there in the nick of time, he was going into kidney failure! Naturally he now has to be on special prescription food. The Hill's c/d he doesn't like at all. The Royal Canin he tolerates but will hardly eat it. I always try to mix something else in but it's just a chore to get him to eat now and the poor guy is hungry. He does love Royal Canin's dry SO food and treats. What else can I feed him?

We are trying to change the diet to one that would be fitting, such as Renal both wet and dry from Royal Canine and Gastrointestinal from Royal Canine, these are the only foods available in my area for these two diseases. my 12 year old cat was recently diagnosed with early stages of kidney disease. i had her eating the dry food from Hills K/D and she was ok with that. Then i moved her to the wet food because she stopped eating the dry. now sheโll eat the wet food for a day or so and then refuses. the only food she never misses a meal is fancy feast pate and blue buffalo healthy gourmet pate. i know commercial food isnโt great, but are either of these foods near the percentile a kidney cat needs?
My cat is 15 years old, prone to kidney stones and is diabetic. He also has no fangs. I feed him the dry cd prescription food but sometimes he has a hard time eating it. He will not eat the can CD. In the evening I give him a 1/2 jar of meat baby food, there is no sugar in it, is this safe for him. IF not what else soft can I feed him. He is very picky.
