I’m so mad. Our senior dog has uncontrolled diarrhea. After many vet visits, new meds, and perplexing us and his vet—- I’m reading this!! You CHANGED the formula!!!! I’ve had months of cleaning up crap. This is unacceptable. I was okay spending SO much money on dog food but to find out he was sick because of this new formula makes me irate!

Hey RC: RECALL Gastrointestional Low Fat food!

TheoGirl

A few weeks ago my get had me change our gog from Regular Gastrointestional canned and dry to the Gastrointestional LOW FAT version. I have been using up the regular mixing it in with this until about five days ago when it’s been strictly low fat version. Three days ago he started in with gas and diarrhea. Last night he had us up all night pacing around and wanting to go out. The vet wanted him on low fat because he has been having pancreatitis symptoms but now what? I’m about to spend another hundred bucks plus testing tomorrow to see what’s going on, but I think I know the answer. After all of these reviews, Royal Canine,, why are you not recalling this food?

Horrible experience!

Shame on you Royal Canin. SHAME ON YOU!! I, like all the others who have used RC for years recently (3 months ago) noticed the texture and smell was different. I asked my vet and was told the cans came in upside down causing more moisture to go top side. Really? They had no other answer as RC did NOT notify formula change. My vet is super great and would never ever sell me a product that was suspicious. They were NOT notified of formula change, but my dog sure noticed. So did my carpet and yard. Explosive diarrhea with blood. Eating grass to settle stomach. One middle of night episode was 7 times outside. She is a Maltese mix and would never give me a second of trouble. Poor thing was so confused. Then she stopped eating totally for 2 days. Boiled chicken helped to get something in her. I have used RC Low GI for almost 8 years and it is EXPENSIVE. It was only recently I saw a commercial for RC and thought I might finally be able to purchase directly from company other than exclusively from my vet. So I went online and saw all the reviews. I’m Gobsmacked. No wonder they are advertising, their product must be in the financial red so advertising brings in customers. Not me. Not my dog. I have notified my vet and sent a link of these reviews so they can see for themselves how awful we feel practically unintentionally killing our fur babies. My 12 yr old Maltese mix is a rescue and there isn’t any thing I won’t do for her. She won the lottery with me adopting her. I feel awful thinking all these middle of night poops were my fault. She looks at me like, Mommy help me feel better. If there was a negative number for reviews, I would check that box.
