i have a 4 year old very healthy and muscular lab/pit mix- is this still a good choice?
- My stocky 3 year old Lab has been on Royal Canin Labrador since he was 18 months. He’s very healthy, however, I’m considering shifting to Royal Canin healthy weight per my vet’s advice.

- yes, I have two labs… But remember new food gives doggy diarrhea so i would do have and half for a few days… (half of the old food and half of the new food. My labs are very healthy and no allergies with royal canin

- Yes! 2nd Labrador with healthiest life - cannot recommend this brand enough. Ultimately you need to ask your vet as they have a Rx line as well but base line is excellent, Little more expensive than others but worth it!!

Does a large breed pup (Labrador in this case) necessarily need to be fed specifically large breed puppy food; or would a puppy food that is complete and balanced for large breed puppies and all life stages be okay? Cal and Pho is the same as the large breed specific food. Please see specific food I’m inquiring about in the photos. I got my lab when he was 35 days, fed him canine creek then but since it's been a month now and I notice no growth in him, vet suggested to shift to Royal Canin maxi starter. My vet told me I needed to feed my puppy a large breed puppy food still with a 30% protein level. I can only find a brand that goes up to 29% and another brand that was 28%. What can I supplement to add the remaining 1% into his diet? The brand I'm looking at is Eukanuba which is the 29%, and the Purina One is the lower one
