i have a 4 year old very healthy and muscular lab/pit mix- is this still a good choice?

  1. My stocky 3 year old Lab has been on Royal Canin Labrador since he was 18 months. He’s very healthy, however, I’m considering shifting to Royal Canin healthy weight per my vet’s advice.

My lab is 13 months old, information said for dogs 15 months. Can I safely start this food?

  1. yes, I have two labs… But remember new food gives doggy diarrhea so i would do have and half for a few days… (half of the old food and half of the new food. My labs are very healthy and no allergies with royal canin

Is Royal Canin dog food for labs in the AAFCO category?

  1. The Royal Canin Labrador Adult is approved for adult maintenance based on AAFCO standards

does the food specific for labs have grains in it or is it grain free? thanks

  1. The Labrador Adult does contain grains

Is this food good for allergies

  1. Yes! 2nd Labrador with healthiest life - cannot recommend this brand enough. Ultimately you need to ask your vet as they have a Rx line as well but base line is excellent, Little more expensive than others but worth it!!

Bad ingredients

A real dog lover

Way over-rated, Chicken By-products is the number 1 ingredient?!? Are you kidding me?!? Along with Corn Gluten and Wheat Gluten. This has to be the most overpriced junk food you could ever give a dog. I'm glad that I looked at the ingredients BEFORE I brought it.

Terrible food for my chocolate lab. Giant size dog food does not help with digestion she still gulp it down without chewing. Does not digest well with her and she had large soft stool.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dogs love Royal Canine Lab 30 / I hate high price

I have fed 6 generations Royal Canine Labrador 30 since they first started making it. Sad part is they on most occasions have raised the price so high I can’t afford to feed it unless I can find a great sale on it. Recent Petco coupons have made it so I can again buy a few bags. Bags used to be 50 lbs now they are 30 lbs and the price is way over double what it used to cost.

Yes, I recommend this product.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST - Healthy Happy Dogs

I have a Labrador Retriever puppy & adult (both yellows) and a pug all on Royal Canin breed and life stage specific foods. I made the switch after all 3 dogs had a horrible rash all over their bodies whilst on Diamond Puppy and Adult foods. I had never had an issue prior and I don’t’ know if it was just that batch or something but it was truly terrible. They were getting bald spots. Non stop itching. Within a week of the switch it was night and day. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS! My dogs literally CHARGE at the food bowl when it’s food time. My pug who has never shown any interest in any foods spins and dances in circles when I head for his bowl with the scoop. There skin looks terrific, eyes are shining, coats are really beautiful. They seem like totally different dogs in the most positive ways. I know it’s maybe a costly brand but it’s so worth it. I am actually spending less as my labs have stopped choking the food down and vomiting. That was a true issue in the past. These breed specific formulas and kibble sizes are just the best thing available. Love it.
