The food is too hard for dogs. It’s an issue with utilizing an hammer to break apart. The food needs to be a little softer instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Caution! - Contains CHICKEN!

Shock_n_Paw

French Bulldogs are extremely sensitive and prone to allergic reactions to a variety of ingredients and substances. The number 1 thing breeders and veterinarians warn owners of is chicken. It’s unfathomable how a feed producer then can create a breed specific feed line that contains that specific breed’s most cautioned ingredient!

Questions

Sort by: Newest Answers

were having hard time finding adult bulldog royal canin , thats all my bullie has ever eaten" can i use french bulldog canin until supplies lossen up!

  1. I have a French. I would send a text or contact them directly with your questions. I seem to recall that they were responsive the few times I contacted them. The thing you could try is boil chicken drumsticks and substitute it for a portion of the regular food. Both my dogs ate all of their regular as long as I added some boiled chicken drumsticks

Can water be put on this food

  1. It sure can!

do you recommend serving wet or dry

  1. Our bulldog likes royal canin dry food but we mix a little cooked hamburg to brighten the her food.

Hello, i have a frenchie (1yr) and also a an older Boston terrier (8yr) - could I also feed my Boston this food?

  1. We have a  Boston 9 yrs and a Frenchton (half Frenchmen and half Boston). This is the food we use and it seems to agree with both of them.

Is it okay to give the puppy adult formula for their breed?

  1. It is not recommended as an adult food will not provide the necessary nutrition

My pup frequently gets impacted analglands. I've tried both increasing his fiber intake (bulk up BMs) and feeding him lower fiber foods (reduce the amount of BMs), but neither has worked. Does this food address gland impaction?

  1. Our vet recommended a heaping tablespoon of pumpkin to our frenchies meal a day. Problem solved!!!!!

My frenchi vomits at least once per week after eating his food. I have tried different kinds of food for him. Any thoughts?

  1. My baby had the same problem! Try Hollistic Health Extension, now he doesn’t vomit at all:-)

I have a french bulldog that is 4 months old. I know this says adults, but am I able to feed my puppy this or which royal canin food would you recommend?

  1. As a breeder I would recommend feeding puppy food until at least one year with small breed dogs and two years with large breed dogs. The Frenchie puppy food is never (IMO) available IN store and must be ordered online! Be aware - puppy food has higher nutrition for growth; whereas, adult is more for maintenance.
