My cat was almost two he was diagnosed w/FLUTD and had crystals in his urine. He had a perineal urethrostomy after being diagnosed. He was originally on hills science c/d and s/d but that became very expensive. He has been one Purina One urinary tract health dry food for about 1.5 years and has had no urinating issues. I want him to lose weight (18lbs) & don't know if his wet food should be urinary or weight loss focused and what his dry food should focus on since I'm doing a mixed diet.

I have a cat that is 16 or 17 with urinary issues. For about 3 weeks he’s been on RX Blue Buffalo WU. He didn’t like the canned food of that brand so only on dry. I’m still trying to find a wet food he will actually eat & not just lick the water from. He still has issues & I’ve noticed muscle spasms in the penile area. My cat is a 10 year old male who used to eat mostly store brand wet food. The vet found crystals in his urine and prescribed him dry prescription food for urinary care. He’s very long and it was recommended that his weight should be about 12 lbs. A year ago he was 14 lbs, and since switching to this all dry diet, he’s up to 15.5 lbs after a year. I’m increasingly worried about his weight. Is it ok to feed him a combination of wet and dry food for urinary care AND weight loss of the same brand?

looking for a urinary tract wet cat food for my very picky 8 year old. will not eat any classic or pate. currently eating purina one urinary tract in gravy. he has the dry food and wont eat it even if I mix them together. does not like the licks either.
My vet has prescribed to may cat Royal canin SO (as he had Urinary disease). However, I read its ingredients, it contains lots of grain and carbs, meat quality and content are also very dubious (probably 4D meats). I have 10 rescue cats, all ages from 2 months to age 4. I have been feeding them Purina one wet/dry mix daily. I however feel that the cats over 1 year should be eating kibble for urinary health to keep them from getting urinary tract infections. My 15 yr old Maine Coon cat is beginning to have a little kidney “aging” according to my vet. “His kidney numbers were a little off - not bad”. He suggested a prescription food - KD - my cat will NOT eat it - 4 days now. He had been on Putin’s Pro Plan - prime plus - which he loved! Can you recommend a dry food with less protein and potassium. - which my vet says hinders the kidneys. Thank you in advance.
