Nourish your dog's mind and help him think more like he did when he was younger with Purina Pro Plan BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+ Turkey & Rice Formula dry dog food. Around age 7, a dog's brain begins to change how it metabolizes glucose, which can affect learning or awareness. Our proprietary research shows that enhanced botanical oils provide an efficient fuel source for the brain, in dogs age 7 and older, and these oils nourish your dog's brain, helping him think more like he did when he was younger. Alertness and mental sharpness are promoted in dogs over the age of 7 who eat this food daily. This dry dog food has high-quality turkey as the number one ingredient. Glucosamine and EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, support your dog's joint health and mobility, while vitamin A and linoleic acid promote healthy skin and a beautiful coat. Purina Pro Plan BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+ Turkey & Rice Formula is also made without corn, wheat, soy or poultry by-product meal.

  • - Enhanced botanical oils promote alertness and mental sharpness in senior dogs age 7 and older
  • - Contains high-quality protein, including real turkey as the #1 ingredient

Making the Switch to Pro Plan Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly. Store in a cool, dry place.

Purina Is discontinuing this product much to my horror! I called them when I couldn’t find it at the petco stores any more. It’s the only food that my senior dog will eat, so I am unhappy about it. I just bought six bags all of which say use by August 2020, which will be difficult since my dog is only 10 pounds, but what could I do?

No, I do not recommend this product.

My mini schnauzer will be 14 in December. She's healthy, according to the vet. A few months ago, she started having what I can only describe as panic attacks almost nightly. My vet was going to put her on a daily anxiety medication, I didn't want to do that. I read the reviews of this food. Some of the stories were similar to my own. Watching your dog have cognitive issues and panic attacks is heart wrenching. When people were describing what was happening with their dogs, I told my husband "I'm buying a bag." We started her on it and saw changes within a week. She still had some panic attacks for a couple of weeks. But last week, I looked at my husband and said " I can't remember the last time she had a panic attack. " He said he couldn't either. She is also playing again, like a puppy. It's so cute because she hasn't acted like this in a long time. She's just finishing the first 12 pound bag. I told my husband it's the food. That's the only thing we've changed. He agreed that we're keeping her on this food. She's back to being herself. She's still old, but no more panic attacks and the cognitive issues are almost non-existent. Super happy with this food. I reviewed this on Chewy which is where I bought it, couldn't remember if I reviewed it here, so here it is.

Recently we went in search of a new brand that was not part of the grain free heart issue foods and was recommended by others to look at Purina Bright Minds. Our corgi is a youngster again! At 9 1/2 he was a tad overweight, had irritated and pink skin, and a dull, course coat. After a month and a half eating this along with veggie supplementation, his fur is so soft and shiny, no more redness and he’s down to the perfect weight! And the energy he now has is amazing! We are so thrilled with this product and will use Purina for all our fur babies moving forward! We know this is a brand we can trust. Thank you!

I have been feeding this to my senior dogs for about 3 weeks now, and I usually go over the ingredients with a fine tooth comb, but somehow I missed this ingredient “menadione sodium bisulfate, now Knowing that a pet food company would opt for a synthetic ingredient in contrast to a natural ingredient is bad enough, but it goes one step further on the 'bad scale' with Menadione Sodium Bisulfate. This ingredient can be highly toxic in high doses. I will no longer buy this, with this synthetic Vitamin K ingredient.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dogs love it and beg for it morning and night. They are not too smart but this food doesn't make them any dumber.

No, I do not recommend this product.
