I bought this cage for my 2 pet mice. I like that it has 2 levels of living space and and a big tub at the bottom for bedding. I left out the grate over the tub so they can burrow in the bedding. I hooked one of the ladders across the 2 platforms to make a ramp for them to walk across. The 2 houses that it came with are very cute. I put bedding in them and the mice use them as their nests. I like that this cage has a lot of ventilation. I've had glass and plastic cages and they seemed to get dirty quicker and smelled bad. Changing out the bedding and cleaning this is easy. It has 2 hooks on either side that you unhook the tub, the cage part pops off and you can clean the tub, change the bedding and pop the cage part back on. NEGATIVES: 1) The wheel that it came with arrived broken, but I wasn't going to use it anyway. I got a mesh wheel, which my mice love. The wheel that this cage comes with is too small for a mouse, or even a dwarf hamster. A wheel that small will curve the critter's back as they are running, which can cause back injury and back pain, your critter will get a hunchback. Mice and dwarf hamsters need at least a 6 inch wheel, regular size (Syrian) hamsters need at least an 8 inch wheel. This wheel is 5.5 inches in diameter. 2) The cage did not come with any instructions, I had to guess how to put it together. 3) Wish the cage had a top opening and not just a side opening. Cage too small? Several comments are saying the cage is too small. The measurements of the cage are in the listing. Research the space requirements for your animal before you buy it. For 2 mice, they need at least 2 square feet of floor space (combined). Based on the measurements, this cage is fine for 2 mice. My mice are happy in this cage and they don't show any anxiety behaviors. I think this cage will be too small for anything but a couple of mice or a dwarf hamster . Overall I am happy with my purchase.

to small,the bare minimum is 40 gallons. And the wheel that comes with it is also way to small anf will cause your hamster to have a shifted back. Imagine if you were to live in a box.

This is a good cage and I would buy it IF it were twice as big. In trying to find a suitable cage for my mice but they require more space than this, as do hamsters. Plz make this bigger so I can buy it

This hamster home is great. Our little guy loves it. It's easy to assemble, clean and access for giving food and water. Just be careful with the parts of the little house when it first arrives. The pieces you have to separate can be sharp and you may have to file down the little door & window in the house. Otherwise, great value.

I bought this cage as an upgrade from this tiny temporary cage I got because all others were far too expensive. This cage arrived in 5 days (ordered 10/22/20 arrived 10/27/2020) so I would say shipping was pretty quick. It is very big for my two mice and the gaps in the bars are a really good size. I do not use the bottom wire because I personally like to just use the plastic so I have no comments on that. The houses it comes with are very easy to assemble. The wheel is cheap and would probably get chewed through easily but besides that, it's very quiet and presto loves it. All in all, it's great quality, very spacious and I would recommend this cage to others.

This cage is perfect for one big hamster, two small dwarfs or two gerbils. It comes with a wire bottom but I did not use it, it locks with the wire bottom or without. I bought a new wheel because the one that comes with it has holes in it and is not solid plastic. I personally like those better.
