Great pet door; durable and reliable brand

I already use the small version inside the house for my cat, which was super easy to install through an interior door. This larger model is a great fit for my 80lb dog—sturdy and well-made. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but installing it through an exterior brick wall turned out to be a real challenge. I eventually hired a professional to make sure it was done right and to avoid any damage to my home’s foundation. If you’re planning a wall installation and don’t have experience, I’d recommend doing the same. That said, once installed, it works perfectly. It’s a great product for pet owners—durable, secure, and includes a panel you can close off to keep out bad weather or unwanted critters. Overall, I’m very happy with it!

Only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is I really don’t think I’d consider this XL. My 85lb shepherd fits through it, but I doubt a dog like a Great Pyrenees would fit through it.

We recently installed the PetSafe doggy door, and it’s made our lives much simpler! From the moment we unboxed it, we were impressed by the build quality because the materials are durable, the flap is thick and weather-resistant, and the included instructions made installation straightforward, even for someone who’s not super handy. And our dog loves it. She runs in and out all day, enjoying her backyard and coming in whenever she wants a break. Overall, I highly recommend any petsafe product. We also have their dog and cat water fountains, which are great too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This door is so sturdy! We have had an older one on our screen door and it was time for a change. Our baby Khaleesi is too chunky for the old one so I was super excited to receive this. Everything about it is 100x better than than the old one. The door itself is a nice strong piece of plastic that has a good weight to it so it doesn’t let air in. The magnet holding it in place is also a great addition. As you can see the old one was just flaps. The one problem we faced was the doggy door was too tall for our screen door so we are already shopping for a new one so we can finally have our fat girl comfortable going in and out again!!!! Khaleesi and I thank you!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven't installed the PetSafe Extra Large Pet Door yet, but we tested it with our two dogs (Jack Russell and a 40-pound mixed breed), and they immediately figured it out. The flap is soft, durable and well sealed with a magnet. The size is perfect - spacious enough for both. The frame seems strong, and the retractable panel is a nice bonus. The instructions look clear, and we are sure that the installation will go smoothly. So far, I'm very impressed!

Installation was simple but I had to have someone else do it for me because I didn't have the right tools (I do now). I live by a busy street with loud noises and it doesn't affect noise levels inside our home.

It hasn’t leaked and doesn’t seem to let much air escape either the magnetic closure. About as secure as a dog door can be. It does make some noise when the flap slaps shut.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pet door was overall a good product. It was difficult for us to install just because getting a whole in your door is not easy. It was quite large so our 45lb mutt has no trouble going in and out. We put it on a door that connects to our sunroom so he can go in and out. I am glad it’s a door that doesn’t directly go to outside because it doesn’t feel secure because many different things could fit through this door. Overall it is great for the budget and if you want to give your large pet a little more freedom to go in and out!
