The PetSafe Little Dog In-Ground Fence allows little dogs have the freedom to play while staying safely in their yard. Simply bury the wire where you wish your boundary to be. Your dog wears a receiver collar that detects the radio signal travelling through the wire. When your dog approaches the boundary, the receiver will issue a warning tone. If your dog ignores the tone and tries to cross the boundary, he will receive a safe, but startling, static correction. While harmless, the correction will persuade him to stay in the established containment area. My pup is 20lbs now at 5 months old, expect to be at least 40 lbs fully grown. Will this accommodate his size.

Could this be mounted on the bottom of a chain-link fence? We would like to keep the puppies away from the fence so they won't dig under it and get into the road.
- Hello there, thank you for this question. Our In-Ground Pet Fence wire does not have to be buried but it should not be placed within 5ft of large metal items or fences. While some customers can successfully run the wire through chain-link fencing without issue, there is always a possibility for interference when running this wire that close to metal so we do not recommend doing so. How long does the rechargeable collar last until it needs to be recharged?

This Elite Little Dog In-Ground Fence Collar is not rechargeable, its disposable battery needs to be replaced about every 1-2 months depending on how your dog respects the boundary. For our Rechargeable In-Ground Fence Collar PIG00-13737, it needs to be recharged about every 2 months.

How far outside a fence yard would I need to bury the wire to allow a dog to get close to the fence, but not go under it? Also, how high would I have to run the wire along the back of the house?
- Hello there, thank you for your question! If your pre-existing fence is non-metallic, you can place the wire right up against it. You will be able to control the distance from the wire that the collar begins to react by adjusting the settings on the wall transmitter. Please know we do not recommend running the pet fencing wire flush against your home as other cables or utilities can cause interference if they are too close. Does the wiring have to be a complete circle, square, rectangle, ect.? Or can it be from one side of the front yard to the other to keep a pet from running into the street?

So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?
So my puppy chews her fencing of her dog run. A high respected trainer recommended a remote stem collar, as it isn’t SA as she doesn’t care about me when she comes out just wants to sniff and play outside, so what I’m going to do is have someone leave in a car and stay and if she chews the run she gets a stem, the trainer said she trained a few dogs with same issue and fixed within a week -2. I got Esky Dog Shock collar a good brand? Is this mean? I think it’s crueler to let her break her teeth

I have two neutered cats who love being outside. We live in a mountainous area with wildlife, so we are trying to keep them inside but they learned how to open doors. We are trying to decide b/w a wireless pet fence in our yard where they wear large-ish shock collars (even though they are smaller for cats) all the time as the company says not to wear for more than 12 hours or to just put cat trackers on them and find them every night. Which is safer?
After speaking with our veterinarian I was able to train my dog not to run up to people or other dogs while off leash by using premium treats outside and less premium treats while indoors. My current issue is shes running into our neighbours backyard (new subdivision, no yard/fences etc.) because they throw food back there. I don’t drive and there’s no dog park nearby. I want her to run and play ball. Do you think it would be a bad idea to get a remote shock collar?
Hey, I’m tired of seeing my dogs on chains and I can’t really put them in the house (no room). I was thinking about getting shock collars & underground fence for all of them. I have two boys and girl. The only thing I’m worried about is the two boys fighting. When they were puppies they fought a lot that’s why I separated them. Do you think since they’re older and neutered they’ll be less likely to fight? They’re 2.5 yrs old. I want to keep all of them together without them killing each other.

I posted a question about shock collars. I have tried to off leash train him “the postive only route” it’s is not cruel look up Off leash canine and Solidk9. They can train huskies off leash and other dogs with this tool. Doesn’t hurt anymore than tens unit. Used on myself as Solidk9 training told me to do didn’t hurt a bit. E collars have changed in the years you might of saw them. He would of never been trusted off leash now can enjoy full off leash life safely. He is very happy to have that.
We have a huge fenced in dog kennel about 30 feet from our house and our dogs go in it to use the bathroom. But when we take them out without leashes they run away. We already tried electric collers. Building a fence to the kennel is not an option. How do we do this???
