I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings. I have an automatic pet feeder that has 2 containers. One opens at 7am and the other at 7pm. I just realized that they both opened at 7am and Luna ate pretty much all the food for the day (1/2 cup). The bowl would come equipped with a scale/sensor connected to an application that recommends servings. Do you think both water and food should be weighed? Or just food? Is there a value in weighing water like food?
I just got this dog and am a little rusty on dog ownership I've been giving her about 2 cups of dry dog food twice a day. Is that enough or too much? should I just leave out a self-dispensing water container? I don't know if I should regulate her water intake.
