Hi, Are there any natural supplements for cat kidney health esp for older cats? I already take my cat in for vet visits and checkups. Thanks!
I am taking my cat to the vet for CKD testing. He has a high level for creatinine from the full blood panel. Are there any holistic supplements for kidney health?
My 13 yr old cat Mercy, had annual blood work done and vet said she has slightly elevated kidney values. She recommended that I put her an a kidney support diet. What's the healthiest brand for wet and dry food? She is currently eating Nutrish dry and Special Kitty canned. I would like a brand that supports overall health and wellness. She is also taking a Milk Thistle supplement for organ support..should I continue w/that once I switch her over to a new food? Thank you for your time and advice!
My cat had annual blood work done and was diagnosed with SLIGHT increase in kidney values. The vet recommended that I put her on some sort of kidney diet food(Royal Canine or Hills Science Diet) She normally eats Rachael Ray Nutrish dry, and Special Kitty canned. I was looking at the ingredients in the food brands the vet recommended and they have a lot of grains and fillers. I was thinking to keep the foods I normally use for her and buy some sort of kidney support supplement instead. Thoughts?
Hello, my three year old cat has seen a vet and is diagnosed with Kidney Failure. The vet recommends I only feed him a RX strength K/D diet, along with doing fluid treatment. Loki will eat some RX food, but is begging for his organic foods. He doesn't allow me to do fluid treatment (even when I have someone help me to hold him). Loki is now becoming behavioral at home. Is it okay to provide half RX food and half organic food with this Kidney Support Gold (see pic) instead of the fluid treatment?
Do you know of any natural remedies for reversing kidney disease? My dog was just diagnosed with Kidney disease, and he is 14 years old. Are there supplements or food I can give him? Is excise good for him? He is losing weight, and his breath smells pretty bad. He just started taking a daily probiotic, detox pill, and eats FreshPet. He has been on sodium chloride 0.9% subcutaneous fluids of 500 mL per day for about a week and a half. Included pictures of his blood work. Thank you so much!
Is there an over the counter supplement I can give my cat for interstitial cystitis? She's 8. Good appetite and very loving.
Hello, My cat was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism this week. They also removed 300ml of fluid from around her lungs and let me know that her heart was enlarged. They gave me Furoside and want to prescribe hyperthyroid medication next. A friend recommend that I try Thyroid Support Gold. It seems like more of an herbal medication, but I was wondering if you think that it will be enough for a cat with her severity of the condition and with the heart medication? Any advice/insight would help!
Is it safe to give green lipped mussel powder to a very senior cat with kidney disease?
Can you give probiotics to a cat with kidney disease?
My cat has a UTI and she has really bad car anxiety and instead of taking her to the vet, I was going to try the Well & Good Urinary Support Cat Chews first. Is this what you would recommend?
Hi today my vet prescribed Vetoquinol Care triglyceride omega liquid supplement for kidney health. Tony doesn’t like kidney food so combined with his phosphorus binder we are trying the omega liquid in his diet. Earlier a PetCoach vet suggested some other supplements- vetriscience omega 3 6 9, azodyl & standard process renal support. Are these similar supplements to the Vetoquinol omega or should they be used in addition to Vetoquinol? Thx
