I have 2 overweight dogs, a 2yr old chihuahua(9lbs) and a 12yr old shih tzu(20lbs). We have always fed them kibbles and bits dry dog food with alpo wet dog food.Last week I went out and bought merrik healthy weight, only feeding them this dry food now. My morkie is almost 12 years old. She seems healthy if not quite as spritely. She had teeth pulled 2 years ago. Food choices are limited in my town in Italy. She's been eating Pedigree pate 150 g/day with free access to Purina kibble all adult. She's 7.6 lbs and gained about 1/2 lb over the winter. Vet said her weight was fine 2 years ago. Should I switch her to Pedigree Senior pouches which are available here, feed her half and half, is Pedigree and OK food?

Best inexpensive boxer dry dog food
We currently feed Rex Merrick brand salmon and sweet potato dry and he has had no problems with it but had read something that Purina had bought Merrick and there is some question about the now quality of the food that they may have changed the ingredients. Do you have any information about the quality decreasing or a reason we should change foods? Or have a brand you recommend as a back up option?

Heidi and Ginger love the low salt chicken broth over their Diamond Naturals dog food. It doesn't take much to soften their food. I understand Chihuahuas need to have food down more often than large dogs. Will twice a day for both dogs not to exceed the number of suggested calories for Ginger be sufficient? Hello. Just got my new puppy. They had her on pedigree soft puppy food. A sales associate in PetCo suggested we switch her to Merricks lil plates puppy food.
