Using the chart on the back of the pack, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food.

BEST DOG FOOD FOR LOSEING WEIGHT
I have 2 overweight dogs, a 2yr old chihuahua(9lbs) and a 12yr old shih tzu(20lbs). We have always fed them kibbles and bits dry dog food with alpo wet dog food.Last week I went out and bought merrik healthy weight, only feeding them this dry food now. Normally at dinner time they eat all of their food in one sitting. With the new food they don’t eat it until later and do not eat the entire daily recommendation because they do not like the new food.Is this okay or do I need to find food they like
I have recently adopted a dog. He is a mixed breed-shepard. At 6 months he weighed 50 pounds and he is currently going on 8 months old. I’ve been feeding him the Merrick grain free puppy beef and sweet potato all breed food. The kibble is small. He is getting 4 cups a day. He’s still skinny and eats it quickly. is there a more suited food for him? And when should I transition him to adult food?
Looking for a recommendation for a good quality senior dog food that will support weight gain and healthy digestion
Royal Canin or Farmina Low Grain/Grain Free for an adult Rottweiler, and why?
What is the best dry food for allergies and weight control?
My dog has been on a grain free soy free and chicken free food for about 8 months, He is 3 and has been gaining weight. He eats about 1/2 can of food twice a day and maybe a handful of dry food in between. He is never been a very active dog. He is part beagle and part chihuahua. He does have mostly a beagle body Short legs and long body Other than weight, he is healthy. What type of dog food would he need to lose weight
My rescue dog is 4 yrs. and was neutered last year right before we adopted him. He was thin, but now he’s put on 9 #s in less than a year! We’re measuring his food and cut way back ontraining treats. What brand kibble can we feed him that will help him lose weight?
Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain
I am considering transitioning my puppy from hills science to merrick grain free dry dog food. Is merrick a good brand? What are the benefits of grain free dry dog food? What are the differences in feeding a dog salmon Vs chicken vs lamb vs duck?
I am thinking about switching my dogs food to royal Cain. I have all 3 of my dogs on Merricks right now. One of my dogs is over weight
My terrier mix (DNA pic attached) turns 1 today (estimated birth date-she's a rescue). I feed her Hills Science Diet large breed puppy formula-I would like to transition her to a new food. She is mildly overweight in which she is active but her hips are probably not as defined as they should be. She currently weighs 68Ibs. I would like to transition her to Taste of the Wild Salmon. She goes on x4 25 min walks a day. Is this a good food to help her maintain a healthy weight and be active? Thanks!
